Long time no post

Hi everyone that still frequents the forum that remembers me!

Been quite a while since I've been on here, but, I just sold my third SRT4 and am on the hunt for a Starquest local to me. I need one in my life again.

But anywho...I've been up to a lot in my absence.

Still have my 85 Omni GLH project...and yes, its still not done.

Also, I have crossed over into the dark side and have been loving me some BMW e30s. I currently have a 1984 318i that I have done a ton of work to. Bought it for $450 with a barely running 1.8L four cylinder, crappy interior, and a stock suspension that needed everything.

A year later, it now has a junkyard refreshed interior that is gorgeous (one piece at a time), European bumpers, Ground Control coil overs with Bilstein sports, later model brakes, upgraded sway bars, five lug adapters with 16x8 BBS Style 5s, and best of all...an m52b28 2.8L inline 6 cylinder from a 1997 BMW 328i.

She's quick and still not done. But she needs a partner, and a Starquest would do just fine. :)

But here's some pictures of that...since pictures are why you're here. :P Some Before/afters. Still not done, but...she's my work in progress.

Anyway...looking forward to being back, and hopefully I'll find a nice Quest in the near future.

Wow ... what an impressive job. Looks waaaayyy better with the European bumpers. I love the interior upgrade and the "little" bit of engine work you did. Looks like you even did a dash swap.

Good luck on your hunt for a Quest again.

I saw the pinup girl I made for your "Conquest Assault" vehicle in John's garage a few weekends ago, I almost cried :)

Welcome Back Sir!

Check CL, I saw a nice Fiji 5 spd down that way a few days ago.

Thanks for all the comments everyone. The e30 has definitely been a project.

The interior was dash, seats, steering wheel, radio, hvac panel, door pulls, steering column, and rear headrests (us models didn't have them).

Exterior was euro bumpers and valance, ultra rare tag filler panel, euro rear fog light mod, and the 5 lug adapters and 16x8 BBS style five.

Suspensions was Ground Control coil overs installed on modified stock strut housings, Bilstein Sport inserts, Racing Dynamics adjustable front sway bar, and all new controls arms, ball joints, inner/outer tie rods, and control arm bushings.

Engine is a 2.8L M52B28 out of a 1997 328i converted to OBD1 electronics, 2.5L M50b25 intake and throttle body (flows much better) with an e30 Getrag 260 transmission (so I have an overdrive), long tube headers, backed by a 3.91 LSD differential.

1st and 2nd are nothing but sideways and smiling :)

But anyway...there is bad news. I probably won't be picking up a Quest now. Since I sold the SRT4, I only have the e30, and one of the brake caliper bracket bolts backed its way out, so I had to park it for the day and drive my fathers Dodge Ram. Its a 1996 Dodge Ram Indianapolis Pace Truck that he just finished redoing, all new paint, etc.

Anyway, I had to drive it the other day, and driving down my road around a corner, a truck and trailer pulled out in front of me from a side street. I swerved to miss his truck and hit his trailer. Messed the front fender, grille, headlight, and bumper up on my dads truck. Though the other guy pulled out in front of me, they're trying to blame me for the accident though the police report clearly states he failed to yield the right of way, but places me at fault.

So, I'm going to have to pay to get the truck fixed. I guess some things are never meant to be, can't believe it happened when I was in his truck. Why nothing else I do not know.

But, might not be back as soon as I thought guys. :(
