dgcanales90 Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 Like what the post say I was taking a part of my stock turbo and the front bolt was hard so I use a air gun but at the lowest setting and it broke (lol) I wanted to know if there's any turbo shalf I can use instead. You aren't supposed to use an airgun on threads that are in aluminum. And you would need to bore the turbo for most other shafts to get the compressor to fit into the compressor housing. StarquestRescue Posted December 2, 2013 Report Share Posted December 2, 2013 (edited) Some guys lock tight the nut, so a little heat from a mini torch is a help to get them loose. The stock turbine was a tdo5, which is only available at a decent price used. Best bet is a tdo5h turbine and have your turbine housing machined for it.
