Past the tranny on the torque tube by where the shifter goes in. A 8mm or so thick cable comming from the body goes into it. You need a 10mm to remove the bolt next to the housing, then pliers or a hammer or what not to get the housing loose as it likes to sieze on. No worries about breaking the housing or cutting that cable that goes to it. To save on shipping you can even take the gear off. Its held on by a little pin.
