jjohnson
I bought 3 cars as a package deal and a motor from my 87 that's been bored out 40 over. And a tone of extra parts . so the 87 starion is the one I'm keeping and is a california body no rust. what i have done is wiring cleaned up the relay and all electrical connectors with little files and a tone of elec. grease. it sat for at least 2 years so a new fuel pump and gas tank drained, lines flushed out flushed out and a big fuel filter between tank and new pump.I needed to do all this to see how or if it would run before i started body work n paint. She's alive baby lol was relived when it started up. the water pump was squealing really bad though at first i thought it was a main baring . a new aluminum ratiator , a used turbo for now , and 2nd dairy injector and she should b ready to go.http://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a591/jjohnson65/IMG_0299_zps0d3e4082.jpghttp://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a591/jjohnson65/IMG_0302_zps693cd4e7.jpghttp://i1285.photobucket.com/albums/a591/jjohnson65/IMG_0301_zps7ea9c2ec.jpg

jjohnson
Yeah I think it'll look good a little lowered blacked out rear windows , legal tint on the sides. I'm going to make like a flat piece u see on race cars that will bolt on the bottom of the air dam. Think it'll look bad ars. I do need to find some of those rocker covers mine are kind of beat up. jjohnson
So i think i have an idea of how it's going to look . origional silver paint , no badges or emblems except the starion one on the back . tinted windows and mat black rims. I'm thinking of polishing the outer ring on the rims and getting the spokes painted black. just a clean look
jjohnson
Little update, I went to the body shop 2 weeks after I dropped it off they sanded it and sprayed guide coat and it reacted/bubbled up in some spots mostly areas that faced up towards the sun, hood, roof, fender flares, etc. he sujested taking it back and sanding it all down to the metal or the original factory 1st layer. So I got 60 grit orbital paper and went to town I sanded from the body line on up sanded through 8 layers of crap lol. I covered it w a layer of epoxi primer to put it in huber nation for the winter months. Guess now during the winter I might as well rebuild and clean the fuel system, the break sys, cooling etc . Then just drive it in in the spring.

jjohnson
So i got the tank fixed no leaks. I purged fuel through the lines (1 liters wourth).then installed my new trilogy injectors and no run it tries to start but won't. It started fine and ran w the stock primary inj.tomorrow im going to install a fuel pressure guage to see what im actually getting.it will run when i pour a small amount of gas in the intake. I had someone crank it and with a flashlight i can see the primary spraying gas. Wile im turning it over and its trying to start if i touch the throttle it wont even try to fire. Anay ideas? dukaine
heard the aftermarket injectors arnt as good as the stock ones they mist instead of spraying but it should run. Might be a good idea to check fuel psi like u thought. Edited July 4, 2014 by dukaine
