Went to go pick up the bike today, only to find out that I had crimped the fuel line when moving the tank to paint it...so now on hold until the new fuel line comes in.

But here's a few teaser pics with the forks re-installed, and the wheels back on...

I don't think I ever saw fork tubes painted, but they sure looks good also are those

Dunlop tires or Pirelli's?

Actually they're Shinko 005 Advance tires...in my opinion, the best sport bike tire out there for the money. The Conti Attack series (which I ran previously), Metzler M3s, Pirelli Diablo series, and the Dunlop 208 series are all fantastic sport bike tires (we run the Pirellis on my wife's bike), but they all cost 50-100% more than the Shinkos...although the price on Shinkos has gone up a bit over the last couple of years due to them being used more often by professional racers. For how I ride (street AND strip), I can't find a better tire for the price than these Shinkos.

Do you ride aggressively on those tires?

Occasionally I do...as well as going to the track. These take a little longer to warm up than the Contis did, but once there they perform just as well, plus I could only get about 3-4k miles out of the Conti rear. Believe it or not, the Shinkos you see on my bike in the pics above already have just over 3k miles on them...and they still look brand new...great tread life.

I see ya not dragging the side walls on those still fresh.

The only time I bring the bike that far sideways is on the track...I don't trust public roads for that much of a lean! I've been down almost to my knee on the track maybe seven or eight times...so the shoulders haven't had all that much usage.

Ok...fuel line replaced. Fired it up and just sat there and listened to it for about five minutes...been a year this month since I've gotten to hear that perfect angelic exhaust note...

Anyway, got her to the house, taped her up, and went to work on finishing the paint on the tank...

I see ya really pulling it together looking great.

Thanks Randy! It's been a year this month since the accident when the bike got tore up pretty good. It's so nice to see it back together again. My wife is loving it because there's no more bike parts stored all over the house.

That looks intense. Love the way that pattern played out with the lines of the bike

Thank you sir! I wanted something that made me more noticeable on the street...too many times drivers not seeing me and pulling right over into me.

And a little more got done today. Still needs some wiring attended to, and a few small body bits still need to be installed, but it's pretty much there. Here's a few shots of both bikes pulled out so we can prep them for MotoGP this weekend!
