19cturbo
the first big one in the first picture, top right, is your heater hose outlet. it would go to your heater core.. the one right under it in the same pipe is for the turbo water cooling on a factroy twin turbo car. it can be capped. the other to small ones look like vacuum lines, my 1j doesnt have those so i cant be sure.. jtmuncher
Hell with it, I am capping them all. Thanks 19c. I just want to get this engine started. I will most likely get rid of the car shortly after the motor is running. I'd rather find a much nicer starquest later or possibly a 90's 300zx or 350z shell. Anyhow, since the clutch bearing assembly was kinda a pia, here is some information on how I did it. Pretty straight forward but some of the washer's have to be facing a certain direction. I gathered some information from several sites.. http://94supraturbos...tch-install.phphttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/2jz/90A6F935-76C5-4D2E-8245-E95D69606731_zps9qdpgul4.jpghttp://www.youtube.c...h?v=IruSckAoUlY Edited December 1, 2013 by jtmuncher

19cturbo
i dunno.. you can cap the water lines, but you wont have heat obviously.. if your cool with that its no big deal lol.. the snap rings were a kinda a pain, took a few hands to make it easier. lol
jtmuncher
That first smaller snap ring took me about 30 min straight using a screwdriver and a pair of pliers. I see now why that guy didn't include that part in his vid. The larger one was pretty easy. Thanks again.

jtmuncher
Got a few things done over the weekend. Unfortunately my 2000 expedition decided to throw a spark plug out the head so I had to fix that.... anyhow was able to finish up the coil connectors, fpr, and get the tranny bolted up. Also got a few items in the mail yesterday. Just about ready to drop it in the car. Need to find a decent vac diagram as I may have thrown away some of the hard vac lines under the intake. Need to know how to route the iac in/outlets under the tb. Hopefully I can get this thing installed this weekend.

19cturbo
It's absolutely a knockoff. Straight out of Hong Kong... thats what mine is lol.. that snap ring is a complain to get on! i had to file the edge down.. The one in a real HKS kit is beveled so it sits in there easier.. just a little FYI
jtmuncher
Finally got the motor in. Kinda a pia to get everything to line up while doing this with out any help but its in and bolted down. Unfortunately I had to remove the trans first. I didnt widen the tunnel enough. Trans was hitting on the upper passenger side. I'll have to either widen or cut it later. I am not going to use this car as for the main project. There are just too many things wrong with it. I'll get everything installed and running then swap it into an 89 later. Motor looks right at home in there. Since I am going to avoid the wiring for now, I am going to start on the fuel system next. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/2jz/4FBF936C-150A-4116-86F6-9E4A2C4D38C1_zpsv2cyzu99.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/2jz/0657540A-8CD9-4F96-B3E6-37DDFFDFB971_zps3tywr6vc.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/2jz/C9534ACB-E92C-47AF-A81F-A812DCBC324F_zpsbbvzmebf.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/2jz/876417C3-35BB-42A1-95D7-CA3B8836671F_zpsc6yrfkhb.jpg
R-R-Quest
Looking good, JT. Not an easy task putting a motor in with two peeps, let alone by yourself. Well done!
jtmuncher
Thanks RR. I gambled on this dp not knowing if it would fit since it was for a 93+ supra but it fits like a glove. Also just enough room for the 90 deg fitting on the fuel rail inlet. When it came time to do the fuel system on the stang I told myself I wouldnt go over 1500. I ended up spending 2-1/2 times that. I will not be doing that again, partially because my goals are far less and mostly cause I dont have the money now. Im planning on running the aeromotive in tank pump with 6an feed/return. Im not wanting to modify the sending unit at all so im thinking i can slide the fuel lines over the feed/return ports, clamp them and then concentrate on fittings for filter and engine bay. Also any tips on wiring the pump are welcome. For now im planning on running a relay with 10ga wire feeding power to the pump. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/2jz/83F889E9-C2E1-46DC-BAEB-229D62DEA5FB_zpsz6sel5ng.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v440/leche1103/2jz/3705C5C4-8A88-4502-8DB9-A16024320EFB_zpsfcweduqo.jpg
jtmuncher
Unfortunately I am going to have to sell this project as it sits now. I will post up pics of everything I have in the for sale forum. I got cut off in on the high way last Friday and wrecked my stang. I am looking for a Cobra roller now to swap everything over to. Unfortunately getting my stang back on the road is worth a lot more to me right now. Thanks
