theastronaut
I bought three of these within one week and need to thin the herd... It's a '84 5 speed, black with maroon cloth. As far as I can tell, the only thing missing is the radiator and rear deck cover. The interior could be fairly nice with some detailing, apart from the faded seats. Maybe a good donor for a maroon interior swap? The body is pretty straight but rusty and the passengers door is smashed in. Was supposedly "running when parked" ten years ago... No title, for parts only. Great for a parts car if you have an early Starquest. Asking $500. patra_is_here
just because there's no title doesn't mean it can't be re-titled. that car looks real complete
theastronaut
just because there's no title doesn't mean it can't be re-titled. that car looks real complete Right, I just didn't want to take the time to go through the process. The guy I bought it from didn't have a title for it and I wasn't worried about it due to the rust; I doubt anyone would want to use the shell. Starquest_Shopper
For older vehicles, it is relatively easy and cheap to get a Vermont registration. Vermont does not require titles on older cars/bikes, and you do NOT have to be a resident there. The process is explained in detail in this bike forum thread:http://www.advrider....ad.php?t=655441 It cost me about $90 to do this myself on a bike. As I recall, it's a matter of having the person selling the car sign a Vermont bill of sale paper, you have a local police officer check the VIN and sign the application, then mail the money & paperwork to Vermont. Took less than 2 weeks on my bike. The engine lunched right after that  so I have not tried to title it here in FL, but in the thread you'll read about others that have done so. The principle is that someone from Vermont moving to your state would not have a title for the vehicle, and your state wants to make money from tag fees, so they create a title based upon the Vermont registration. EDITThis is the process the companies that offer no/lost title services do for hundreds of dollars. D3UC3S
Saw this on CL. I'm in Atlanta and if you still have this in the next few weeks I will purchase. I know that a douchey thing to post but I have my kids birthday at the end of the month and if I don't get a bouncey house and cotton candy machine then I am a terrible father hahaha.
