take a small notation , nearly every other small part of that BMW is just as high priced

Pretty much already knew that but thanks Shelby. The cost wasn't the matter...the schmuck was. You get into a car like this understanding it's pricier to maintain...you just don't count on pure unadulterated vandalism...you know?

Ok the new power folding mirrors came in. Installed them last night and I like 'em. More importantly the wife likes 'em. They're more of a satin finish than flat, so I'm going to go satin black on the wheels, kidney beans, cowl vent, and side strakes too...should look pretty sick.

Hey Bud, nice to see another M3 owner on here, although mine is the bodystyle before yours. Really clean Car! I wish you didnt put on the aftermarkets however. I know the OEMs are expensive but a used set would have probably be the best choice. Nonetheless, hope they work out for you. As a tip, if you ever need to source BMW parts, shoot me a message. I have a good hookup with parts. Enjoy!

Awesome car. It really says something how the M3 0-60 times from 10 years ago compare to the 335i 0-60 times today. M cars have gotten ridiculously fast, and people not willing/able to cough up the dough for an M can get amazing performance at a relative discount. Saw your 5.0" 0-60 stat in post one and was shocked that the fastest non-M 3 series is now faster than the M3 from roughly 10 years ago. Edited by chiplee

OK, so it's time to start putting some time and dollars into the wife's M3. First item up for modification is the wheels. After a lot of looking and research, she really likes the OZ Mitos.

I'm going to look at a set tomorrow evening. I found these on another E46 series here in Houston...here's some pics of the look we're going for. The car is eventually going flat black, so we really like the blacked-out center faces.

And here they are on the car...the wife is very happy. Now I'm researching a color change on the entire vehicle. She wants to go flat black with all the trim elements in chrome or polished. It sounds pretty sick looking...just have to do the research!
