Gushers
I recently purchased a Conquest to rebuild as a daily driver. I like the look and that mitsubishi offered a manual rwd turbo car once upon a time. Unfortunately the previous owner punched a hole in the block, so I'm debating rebuilding or swapping a 4g64t in as the 2.4l should be more reliable. Anyways, less talk; more pictures. nfelge
Welcome! I also have a Red 88' Quest! Be sure to check the "Engine Swappers" section if you do end up deciding to swap. Is this your first Starquest?
D_Venable
Welcome fellow Twin Cities SQ owner. looks like it sitting outside MAP's Plymouth location (since you mentioned in the GP thread you work at MAP) -Derek
Gushers
Yup, this is my first starquest. I do have a 3000gt VR$ 'er VR4 as well, but it's been down for a long time being built. I thought it might be interesting to have the successor and predecessor in my possesion. I've read up on the swap and it seems fairly straight forward. My brother is phenomonal with electrical, so the wiring shouldn't be terrible. Just want to get it up and running ASAP. It definitely is sitting outside good call, it will need to be moved by Tuesday though as we need to clean up around shop.

Technology
Nice! What turbo you gonna go with?
Gushers
Nice! What turbo you gonna go with?I'm working on building a EF2 for my car at the moment. I plan on running a 2g manifold to a TD05H housing for faster spool up. I'm not looking for anything more than 300whp as I need it to be somewhat reliable. Just plan on running some 560cc Evo injectors on pump gas. Hopefully getting our fabricator to weld the aluminum slug in the compressor housing so I can machine it out tonight and build the turbo Edited November 16, 2012 by Gushers
Gushers
Well, I got a small amount of progress over the past month.I test fit the engine today and I have to trim the firewall another 1/2" on top and bottom. I just need to find a few more wires to get it to start (after running plumbing). Also had an issue with the intake manifold hitting the brake booster. Is this something I can remove? I don't want to modify the Magnus intake, I'd rather modify a 1g. Slowly getting there... http://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/Volcomsnow248/IMAG1119.jpghttp://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/Volcomsnow248/IMAG1116.jpghttp://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/Volcomsnow248/IMAG1115.jpghttp://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/Volcomsnow248/IMAG1111.jpghttp://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/Volcomsnow248/IMAG1096.jpghttp://i233.photobucket.com/albums/ee233/Volcomsnow248/IMAG1105.jpg Edited November 19, 2012 by Gushers
