TrustConquest
Hey everyone, I wanted a second opinion on this since it's my first time attempting it. Yesterday I sanded down my wiper arms with 180 grit sandpaper (sounds heavy but the last guy who painted left a lot of thick paint drips on the wiper arm), and then resprayed them flat black with Krylon: Indoor/Outdoor spray paint. (They look brand new btw) The guy at O'Reilly's Auto Parts told me when I was buying the paint to also think about covering it with a clear coat. ... ... Apparently, he didn't do it on his and rained washed the paint off. Is this true? I never heard of having to clear coat your wiper arms. TexasQuest
I didn't clear mine when I painted them and it's holding up fine so far.
Leeintheconquest
I just used gloss spray and not flat. No need for clear.
