markfly
I have a manifold for a G54B for sale. I ran it on my car for a year before the block went. We made 420hp at 30psi on the dyno with the manifold. we would have made a lot more if the head gasket would have held up. The head gasket combustion chamber seal didnt hold. it was blowing boost out of the side of the head. The AJUSA gaskets really are only good up to around 350 maybe 400hp. Here is the head gasket failure http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-4517-1334352570183.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-4508-1334352573319.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-4597-1334352572818.jpg Ok well back to the piont. This manifold was built for me to fit into my g54 powered nissan 240sx. I do not know if it will fit into a starion. if there is some one local in socal (92551) that would like to come by so we can see how it will fit that would be great. here are the pics of the manifold. http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/New%20race%20car/IMG_20110403_135719.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-17250-1339202960253.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-16685-1339202959744.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-16673-1339202959218.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-16684-1339202958698.jpg http://i26.photobucket.com/albums/c102/MarkAE86/photobucket-16577-1339202957836.jpg Ok so let talk numbers Manifold and fuel rail: 450 plus shipping and paypal feethrottle body: 75 plus shipping and paypal feeinjectors (1880cc): 250 plus shipping and paypal fee Buy it all for a package deal 700 plus shipping and paypal fee If your interested please email me at boricuaguy10@aol.com I do not spend any time on the forum anymore because i dont have a station any more. RGAV8R
Will the distributor work with this manifold?
markfly
Will the distributor work with this manifold? No it will not. You would have to run crank trigger or depending on what you are using for an ecu you can do what i did.I ran an SR20 cam angel sensor with my haltech and it worked great. super clean set up too. 25gconquest
What size is the throttle body and what is the biggest that can be adaptes to it.
markfly
What size is the throttle body and what is the biggest that can be adaptes to it. The throttle body is a Nissan Q45 throttle body. Its an 89mm (3.5in) throttle body. As for adapting to bigger im not sure if there is something bigger that will bolt up to the Q45 flange. michael hollen
Sorry about the head gasket issue-that sucks-I think I blew mine out also! Were you useing the Ajusa metal head gasket with the composite core (suppose to be the best gasket ajusa makes for the 2.6). Trying to decide what gasket to go with next (stock or ?) If i had to do it all over again, i would go with an o-ring on the block and a stock replacement fel pro gasket. I have heard only good things about that setup.
4cylFury
If i had to do it all over again, i would go with an o-ring on the block and a stock replacement fel pro gasket. I have heard only good things about that setup.Looks like your problem is not the head gasket. Looks like it detonated. The o-ring is not going to stop that. Either the head or the block was not surfaced. Doing both is a Must with that Ajusa gasket or your tune is off. That Ajusa is holding well over 600hp for me. I run the Ajusa head gasket no o-ring and over 45psi of boost with no problems. My tune keeps it together. I paid good money for my tune but it's worth it.
