I started to get into the distributor and I had the stock one on the bench also beside the dist I got with kit and noticed that the stock distributor has three prongs sticking up on stator and the distributor that came with MPI kit only has two prongs sticking up from stator inside distributor, it looks like the third prong was cut off to make the vacuum advance boss bottom out to be wired not to move. My question is; will the distributor work with only two prongs on the stator for the signal rotor ? -

I do have the MSD fach adapter with this system, will have to go through all the wiring and make sure its wired correctly, I did go through the wiring as I was installing system, but I could of missed something, there is alot of wiring! There has already been some parts that hav'nt worked like the MSD box, maybe they were blown out some how, assuming the msd box is not the only part that was blown out or wired wrong -

It is wired according to FIP directions and pic of wiring diagram that came with the complete system. I beleive the diagrams can still be seen on FIP web site. I am going to go through all the wiring and check it because everything was already pre-wired when I got it -

Well I replaced the ignition module which plugs into the pick-up coil inside the distributor which I just bought to replace also, basically just rebuild the distributor with all new parts, then work from there to try to get the car running -

Have ordered the pick-up coil for the inside of distributor, might as well rebuild the thing since I bought a new ignition module already. Will check back in with you guys and let you know what happens -

What do you mean by "kick back"?, and I have already replaced ignition module in dist., but no change, havn't had a chance to check cap and rotor yet (they are the same I got with system), havn't checked the other things yet, since the weekend is the only time I have to work on the car. Appreciate the help from everyone
