duckheads Posted June 20, 2012 Report Share Posted June 20, 2012 Or timing chain. I have a tick in my 87 and it seems to be the timing chain. Indiana has a post somewhere that explains how to tighten the chain by taking the a little cover off the front. loosen the bolt and push the tensioner down and re tighten the bolt. I think it is in the 100,000 mile maintainence thread. Unfortunately that has already be done on mine so I am sol as far as that is concerned. Good luck!
