Hey all, just figured I'd start a thread to share some pictures with you all! I really like it here so I feel like bringing you all with me! Since I can't afford that, LOL, I'll just take tons of pics.

This will be my second trip to Italy and hopefully this will be just as, if not more, adventurous. I'll try my best to update them daily, but I'll be visiting my fiancee and partying with some old friends, Albi and Massimo, so I can't guarantee that update frequency :)

Thanks all! I really do like it out there, although the creature comforts and conveinces of America cannot be beaten, LOL!

I will be staying in Milan in the Regina Giovanna district. It should be a ton of fun!

Okay, well it's been a bit and sorry about the delay, my friends. I took some pictures so far but have just recently gotten around to uploading them. It's 3:27 in the AM as I'm typing this particular sentence and the only reason I'm awake is because my allergies are making it IMPOSSIBLE to fall asleep (more on that later). The air quality of Milan sucks big time but it's such a cool city! So far, the plan is to hit up Venice one of these weekends and we're also going to head over to Maranello and Modena to check out the Ferrari and Lamborghini manufacturing plants and museums. I'm hoping the air out in those places is much better, LOL! I never thought I'd say this but I'm looking forward to the rain we'll be getting on Sunday, LOL! Other than that, we may go over to Monza, Rome and Imola. I would love to get a chance to hit up Imola and see the Senna memorial. I'm one of the weird motorsport fans that feels a little sad every time they think of the Senna tragedy. But, that's neither here nor there.

Its also been a great time as I've gotten to catch up with my old friends, Alberto and Massimo. These guys are awesome! They own a bar about half a block from my fiancee's apartment and they know how to have a good time. I look forward to making new friends as the days continue on as that's one of my goals in life is to have as many friends and contacts as possible. Life, in my opinion, is boring without someone to share it with. I've already got an awesome woman so now I just need to have more buds to kick it and partake in hooligan shenanigans with.

Oh, and before I post pics, I had a really funny moment today. I call these my "Jeremy Clarkson Moments". I had a good laugh for about an hour as I watched dog after dog walk by a Citroen Xsara and proceed to relieve itself on said vehicle. Something about that made me instantly think of Jeremy Clarkson and how he would probably get a good laugh out of it as well. All said, it was about 10 members of the canine family who felt the need to increase the value of the Citroen make. It was good times.

At any rate, let's post some pictures!

Before heading out, I had to make sure I had some of my essentials were packed. Phone, check! Lit book for school, check! One of the most amazing works of literature EVER WRITTEN with accompanying DVD, check and check!

At the Atlanta airport, decided to stop in at TGI Fridays for one of my favorite vices. A Jack Daniels burger! This is a vice because those who know me know I enjoy working out and eating relatively healthy (although I have my indulgences). This steps WAY off of my chart but it's always fun to give in to temptation every once in a while. Heck, that's probably why the majority of us have Starquests, LOL! Anyway, here's my beer of choice for the day, Yuengling Lager and my gadgets.

My food . . .seriously, the picture doesn't look like much, but that burger is FANTASTIC!

As is the norm, I'm the first one at the gate waiting. Usually only surpassed by the crew tending to fliers.

Not to sound "commercial" but I really would only fly Delta or their subsidiaries when flying internationally. Here we are waiting for pushback and takeoff. We actually boarded early and landed early! I know, early boarding, takeoff and landing? What is this, the future?! LOL! It actually says more about the airport than the individual Airline. If there's one thing Atlanta can do decently is run it's airport.

Waiting our turn to take off . . .

Our turn to take off! Am I the only one that REEAALLLY loves the feeling of G-force when a jet plane takes off? The initial acceleration followed by the shoving in the seat when it really begins climbing? I love that feeling!

Couple of random pictures in flight.

So, I played some video games (PM me if you're into old school games as much as I am, NES, SNES, Sega, etc) and fell asleep. When the flight attendants came around with breakfast (yes, every Marine knows when it's chow time, LOL!) I was awoken to the awesome view of the Swiss Alps! I really hope to one day be able to drive on such roads!

Leaving the Alps for another day, we heading towards our Final Approach. Might I add, I'm with George Carlin when I say they should REALLY rename this particular stage of flight. "Final Approach" sounds so . . .definite, LOL!

Here are some images of my suffrage. I was surprised at how well the pollution (Milan is beautiful but has horrible air quality, Think "Los Angeles" but actually beautiful, LOL) showed up on camera. Today is really the only day that it's bothered me so much. I think it's because the air is so dry.

Finally, when I do "Picture Threads" I always leave on a cliff-hanger/teaser pic . . . .here's a random beautiful pic of some of the visits. I've been here before so I didn't take many pictures but I'll see if I can get some more Duomo and centrale pictures.

Later guys!

PS: In all of this, you probably won't believe it . . .but I really miss my TSi. I picture it on some of these roads, eating up the competition, LOL!
