N2starquest Posted July 3, 2012 Report Share Posted July 3, 2012 (edited) My 1st starion was an 88' in 1994 with 54,000 miles, there was no way I would beat a mustang GT stock!, did the quest have a better interior, handling, exterior looks - YES!, it was the shiznit but that is my opinion!!,.... 3 years later with a small 16g on a rebuilt motor at 14-16psi full exhaust no cat was a different story!!, even then with my friends 1990 mustang Gt with 32K miles/headers/exhaust running mint was a 50/50 chance, it was all about who made out of the hole!,.... spanking mustangs all the time, I dont think so, Sorry!.......... running them on the hwy was advantage drop it in third and just stand on it but the starquest starts pulling very slow past 120............small 16g is the biggest turbo I've had on a starquest so thats my experience....I used to be on rockaway and flatlands and francis lewis all the time in 1997-on with my pearl white stealth twin turbo, never saw a starquest run once!,........saw a white SQ on hunts point running open wastegate on stock turbo which lost to a mustang once,.............I have however seen SAKURA run in person in English town back in 98' or 99' - that @#$% was not a joke!!!!....lol... I am pretty sure the 5.0 beat that stock for stock.
