I picked this up a few weeks ago with plans to daily it over the winter. However, the more I look at it, the more I realize I can't subject this car to that kind of punishment. It's far too rare & cool (to me at least) to put thru a NY winter.

It's a factory 2.2L turbo/intercooled 5spd Daytona, and a real Shelby Z car.

The car runs great, just had a full tune-up and service performed at the dealership before I bought it, still has the tag on the key.

The body and paint are in amazing shape considering how old the car is. I haven't washed it yet, but my brother waxed the hood and its very promising.

A few things I'd like to add:

- Compression is 148psi +/- 2psi across the board, very healthy

- The OBD is throwing a code for the wastegate solenoid and speed sensor, I'm looking into these but they don't seem to have a drastic affect on driveability

- Could use (2) tires, but not needed

- Needs new e-brake cables installed (comes with them)

- Odometer stopped working a short time ago, easy fix

- AC belt has been removed, compressor wheel spins freely though

- Has a small rot hole in the drivers floor pan, typical for these cars

- Has a small dent on the drivers fender

- Has a dent on the passenger quarter panel, just below the gas door

- Hood has some dents & buffer swirling

- Passenger door only opens from inside, needs handle adjustment

- Comes with brand new front & rear drilled/slotted rotors and brake pads

- Comes with (4) brand new spark plugs, correct part # per the FSM

- Comes with a full set of Factory Service Manuals in almost new condition

Here's some pictures (the hood is popped):

I'm asking $2,500, that seems to be what similar cars are going for. Feel free to take me down a peg if you feel otherwise, lol.

The car is located in Chester, NY and is being stored indoors and will remain there until it's sold or I bite the bullet and winter drive it.

Post up or PM me with questions.

Thanks,

- Dale

A local friend of mine has shown interest in this when I talked to him yesterday. Can you TXT me the pictures, then I can forward them to him? Or just TXT him directly... I can give you his mobile number.

Yeah man, it's not looking like its going to sell. I can't believe how little interest it's gotten, bad market and all. I've only received a handful of super low-ball offers. Once I can scrape together the outrageous DMV fees (**** New York State) I'm going to register and drive it.

Thanks! I love the trophy, it's definitely the highlight of my car stuff collection.
