Technology
Well, as cool as it is, there are some things which make it just too far gone. Derek knows this, and while it can still be driven, and with maybe 10,000 dollars, restored to a prime example, it's not worth it in the end. I fully support pulling the hot parts and putting them in a truck! Even a 4wd raider! that would be awesome. Make a little off-road monster. put it in low gear and pop wheelies, haha. mstieg
Do it! I did a starquest swap into my D50/MM a few years ago. I kept the stock truck tranny though, but I'm only running 8psi and a smaller top mount IC. http://home.fuse.net/remo/d50-pic0.jpg http://home.fuse.net/remo/mm-swap1.jpg This does look pretty sweet IMO. Nice work. Wheel swap also helps.

D_Venable
one day....there wont be any of these cars left to throw away. DON'T preach to me, preach to the guys crushing the rust free ones. I'm giving this one some extra time on the road as it is. If I hadn't of picked it up, it would already be a small cube of steel

If I hadn't of picked it up, it would already be a small cube of steel if you are going to send a car to the crusher, why make a spectacle out of it? i cant understand why people do that. if you are going to do it...then do it. no reason to announce it to the world.... "hey look guys, im going to crush an amazing car that has history behind it which was made in limited numbers...all because i dont want to weld a couple pieces of metal"
JamesR
This is what I'd shoot for in building a MM/D-50 http://a3.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/252859_508423679142_143100245_30221203_7275828_n.jpg As far as I know, no one makes a prerunner kit for the MM/D50 it will have to be custom bodywork. D_Venable
As far as I know, no one makes a prerunner kit for the MM/D50 it will have to be custom bodywork. Nobody does, so I'd either have to do metal bodywork, or sculpt it all, make molds, and produce some fiberglass or carbon parts. I'm leaning towards the latter, might be able to recoup some of the investment on the molds by selling a few sets. Elkidmino
You should make widebody patch panels too.
