Leggo76
Hey All, I'm not sure where exactly to put this but I am trying to find someone with a 5-sp Starion I could look at. I had one when I lived in Germany a few years ago and had to sell it before we came back. Since then I was in a motorcycle accident and had my left foot amputated. I am trying to figure out if I will be able to drive the car again without modifying it. If this is in the wrong place mods please move it. Thanks,Leggo

Shelby
an auto car with 3:90's can be a lot of fun
Leggo76
I built a foot so that I can still drive our GTO, but it's a pain in the tail having to switch feet when I want to drive, and when I get out. There are some cars out there (97 and Newer Jeeps, LS1 F-Bodies, some mustangs) that have enough clearance for me to not have to change feet, I just have to take my shoe off. I am hoping that I can still easily drive the 5sp starion but if not I will be going with a auto. And in some state's it's illegal to change the clutch setup for "disabled" drivers (Texas) and still being with the military I can't guarantee I won't go back there. JAinsworth
IntercooledFlatty lost his leg from the knee down. He drives automatics that are fast. You can build boost with the auto before launching but not with a 5 speed.Jimmy
Leggo76
I know that Auto's are better for racing and all that but my first one was a 5sp and I would love to go back to that. I was into drifting the car when I was in Germany and that's just way more fun in the 5sp. Plus when you beat someone in a race and the they see it was the guy with one leg driving a manual... you just can't describe the look on their face

Leggo76
Thanks guys, I am actually down in Cincinnati a lot for my daughters lacrosse games. I won't be down that way for a few weeks though, I think the 16th of April is the next game down there. If we can it would be awesome to meet up somewhere. slowquest
You let me know when your available and in the area. I'll make time. Hell, if we can get Tman to brush the cobwebs off of his and meet us, maybe we can do some type of dinner or grill out or something at my place.
