Killtodie
Good job on the tranny. Why not use water Rabbit? I used Simple Green and Brake cleaner and then cleaned it all off with water. What's so bad about water?
87starcar
i used old gas to clean mine worked alot better than brake cleaner and is cheaper. i wouldnt see anything wrong with water the tranny is sealed and its an aluminum case so it wont rust.. what happens when you drive your car through rain or in a puddle? lol. The Rabbit1
if you use a presure washer on a sealed trans it's sposed to possibly get in the input shaft or something of the sort. And if it were to and then sit for a bit before being used this would create flash rust. We use a water and soap parts cleaner at the trans shop, but we blow the parts off with air immediately afterwards and then cover them right back in oil as they go back into the casing. the input shaft, output shaft, and machined yoke shaft would not be good places to have flash rust start and sit while not in use. Convette
I hope you replaced the part that was leaking on your brake booster/ master. Hate to see all the hard work get eaten away again.
allen405
yeah it's on the list of things to replace the M/C that is. I gotta move the steering gear box out of my way yet to get underneath that and I may drop the front suspension to see if it got between that and the frame. All I know is, man what a mess! Earl
I think that Attis was asking if you have the stock KM132 transmission I believe. And I have no clue what he meant about PS...power steering maybe? He's from Hungary=) Good job cleaning your tranny though. It's coming together nicely. Now I have my car unfortunately next to my garage instead of storage=( I sprayed silicroil all over the input shaft to keep it from rusting, do you think that would be fine? lol

allen405
Yes, I'm Hungarian. My question is how how much (LE) has KM 132I'm sorry that my speech is not good. Thank you for your help. It's okay, We just have to be patient till we figure it out. Are you asking how much miles on it? How much fluid it holds? Just don't get upset, I used to deal with AFE (foreign exchange students)

Earl
Yes, I'm Hungarian. My question is how how much (LE) has KM 132I'm sorry that my speech is not good. Thank you for your help. Are you trying to ask him how he put a KM132 in an LE? or how many came with the KM132? The double how has me confused=) I'm pretty sure all of the 2.6's came with the KM 132, right? IF LE refers to the model of his Quest, it is infact actually a TSi (widebody). And don't be sorry, it's not bad at all. And you're welcome=)
Technology
PS could mean power, in Europe, they use PS, not HP. So it would be slightly higher than stock PS with his mods. As for the second question, I have no idea, lol.

I've been wonderingIts the same car, thats what it looked like when I first got it 5 or 6 years ago. The inside was worse it had absolutely no interior in it, lol. It had black dash and door panels and maroon seats thats it, it really looked like a POS. I like that pic because it between then and now I've created a lot of memories , met a lot of friends, and learned a lot of patience. Its been like a journey to me, its not the finished product so much as it is the journey along the way. LOL, sorry I didn't mean to get long winded
