Alright heres the deal I just traded my 98 Dodge Ram for an 88 Conquest Tsi and it had a bad turbo but came with a T3T4 and i was told it would bolt to the car well I found out that it won't I have finally purchased the right manifold and the external waste gate and blow off valve and a boost controller. Now i need to know how to put the waste gate and the boost controller on the car i have an after market gauge to that i installed so im kinda lost now this is the first turbo car i have ever owned oh ya and my cousin has an 89 quest that he is trying to help but his is mainly stock so he doesn't know how to install these things. Oh ya and for some reason the car will boost to about 7Lbs of boost then it just bucks and runs bad and smells like gas. So Please help me figure this car out I Have loved these cars since i first laid my eyes on them and now i finally have one and want it to run like it should. Thanks Clint

First things first, find a good used OEM 12A turbo and throw it on there. Next, fix your fuel bucking issue, and any other issues that seem to arise.

THEN have at it with the aftermarket turbo, manifold and boost controller. B) We say it because we've been there, done that, and if you're me, blown up 2-3 engines.

Get your fuel system up to spec and the car running properly before you try to upgrade or make it faster at all.

If you don't have a wideband O2 sensor you have no idea if you are running too lean from an upgraded turbo or more boost. As a result you are only playing a guessing game as to when your engine is going to blow up.
