Got a rear axle today, and I ordered axle/wheel spacers for front and rear, rear axle nut, and sprocket bolts, so those should be here in a week or so

not really, other than getting some bolts in, and borrowing an empty motor case for frame mock-up. Just been cold, busy at work, and have had to shovel a LOT of snow, with more snow coming tonight (up to another 6" predicted) Edited by D_Venable

Well, slight update, kinda

I went and bought more 1.75" tubing yesterday morning, and I went with 13ga over the 14ga I had before. I bent up new main rails toady using the bender at work. got the 2 rails on the first tries, so I've got 30 extra feet of the tubing now, lol (strut tower braces anyone, hehe)

Anyway, here's a pic of the tubes against the jig

Got a little bit of work done today concerning the rear wheel fitment into the swingarm.

Before, I wasn't able to fit the wheel inside the swingarm with the brake caliper bracket. SO, the other night I trimmed the tension adjusters each 4mm (I need 10mm, but 8mm total should get me by). Then today I trimmed the swingarm, and the brake caliper bracket the 4mm were they key together.

Now, I can fit the caliper bracket in, but I don't have the spacers that go between things yet, those should be here this week (some error on the old order caused it to not process). With the spacers, I'll find out if I need more trimming, or if I can squeak by with what I have. Right now it's TIGHT on the drive pulley side.

I also shaved the line off the sides of the swingarm, and started to smooth them out (going for a clean look) to paint or powdercoat it black.

Still need brake rotors as well.

Getting the second bay of the garage setup to work on the bike, and got one piece of 1/4" plate cut for the rear motor case mount.

Since the weather is warming up some, and other things around work, my motivation has ramped back up on this project, so it'll hopefully be going good for a bit. OH and that motor is just an empty case, nothing inside of it. I'm using it for mockup, just need to grab a set of the newer/taller valve covers.

Did some more work on her today.

Yesterday I got my new GoPro in the mail, and decided to take advantage of the timelapse function for this build from here on out.

As for the bike, I got the upper rails tacked on to the uprights and the steering head. Then decided to bolt it to the motor case I have, then gently set the wheels and tires up.

Th wheelbase is going to turn out to be right around 65", a Victory Kingpin has a wheelbase of 66.5", and the V92C (what the steering head is from and the frame jig is based off of) is 63.3"

Stacked some wood up to get an approximate seat heat so I could make sure the upper rails wouldn't be a major issue for comfort, they're good enough for me atm.

I then tacked a lower rail together, and tacked 2 cross pieces in, and mocked it back up on the motor.

little more work tonight done.

I started messing with the exhaust by hacking apart an accessory exhaust for a Victory Hammer (gonna use the mufflers off this exhaust on the bike too)

I did an updated sketch as well, with some of the tweaks I had to do on the frame, and a few other changes I've decided on since the last sketch.

Looking good man. I really wish your center flat plates were one piece tho. Are you going to have the exhaust coated? Or wrapped?

Yeah, I wish those pieces were one piece as well. but I don't have enough of the plate to redo them. I made sure to bevel the edges and get a good deep weld in there though, as I'll be grinding it down smooth to look like one piece.

The exhaust, I'll be wrapping all but the mufflers

"mounted" the Renthal moto bars I got. The risers are 1" the bar is 7/8". I'll be making my own risers once I get a chunk of aluminum. These will do for mockup in the meantime
