looks good bag, i would really pull that header off and get it coated...

 

Its on there for mock up right now, I had to mount everything up to make the downpipe and intercooler pipes. I did put it through one 600* heat cycle and lol it flash rusted during a really humid day. I'm not too worried about the rust though. I'll dunk it in rust dissolver before it gets sent out with my intercooler pipes. Amazingly enough the measurements I took for the intercooler were near perfect for me to mount it at an angle shooting air directly up at the radiator. Now I just have to get a bigger oil cooler to replace the stock weenie oil cooler. Setrab with a thermovalve should do the job.

Sorry my thread's been dead for a while. I jumped on the band wagon with D_Venable and Technology and went the DSM/AEM route. There's just so much more accuracy to it. I don't have too many pics as of yet but, be certain to tune in for the next exciting adventure of Bag-O-Chips' Trials and tribulations. For those who know me on Facebook I'm sure you've seen some progress :)

I'm sure I'm leaving things out. I now Have to sort things out wiring wise and AC wise and I should be hitting the dyno for final tuning soon.

Yusuf Begic from FlyinEvo2ning will be doing the tune. He has a 900+ hp daily driven /track/standing mile/ record holding evo 2 and is fluent with AEM, Autronic, Motec, Vipec, and DSMlink. This is going to get interesting. Expect a very short and useless torque curve from my car.

 

I'm aiming for the "stop light supremacy" title.

I'll set up a meet when its all finished, I know a select few are already in line for a ride. Nudelobster already rode in my Buddy's Supra (the one I was fabbing parts for) and even at 20 psi he was giggly like a 5 year old at a Justin Beiber concert. At 50psi that particular Supra lays down a Time stopping 2000+ hp and 1600lb/ft of torque. I dare not drive that car even at 20. There is no traction until 4th gear @ 20psi. at 50psi 335/40/19's can't keep it held. No traction even in 6th gear. Ironically enough My poor SQ will dust it up to 80 mph, then he leaves me like a cheating wife.

The GT4088R is kind of the smallest "large" turbo I wanted to go with. The compressor map seems fairly (dont quote me on this) reasonable for my build.

For Short duration sprints with higher rpm than 6k and bigger valves, bigger cam, and bigger ports, it seems well suited for the job. If i ever want to stretch out the gear ratio to 3:90's and aim for "on ramp supremacy" lol I suppose I could downsize to a GT3576 and spool sooner to get the job done. My numbers are going to be something dumb for sure.

Over 9000. But on E85, you will get slightly higher than 500whp with the 1Kcc injectors. They will also be near 100% duty cycle, but going beyond that isn't a problem. I suppose 550 is possible if you bump up the fuel pressure. I hope you can get over 500 without going past 30psi. 25 would be sick, 27 nice, 29 acceptable, and 30... well we can't have that.

And in other news, I decided to Use the entire lenght of the 1G wire harness and neatly tucked the "Stupid Huge ECU" under the passenger seat. Along the door sill just happened to have a tunnel with a metal sheild held by (3) 10mm bolts that tuck the harness quite neatly. You'll never see it until you really look.

Alright Gents! these are the last installments of my MPI endeavor. The car is now fully assembled and running pretty beastly! I am in line for a dyno tune in late november so it won't be driven until it's tuned correctly. Lets just say when the turbo hits (right now its at 15 psi) it pulls like a raped freight train with its butt hairs on fire and someone is trying to put it out with a hatchet. For now here are some recent pics!

I didn't have to do any cutting of any sort to fit this intercooler, just made some brackets, welded on the bumper support and good to go!
