looking for a set of all terrain tires for the montero. its got some 30x 8.5 Maxxis Buckshot mudders tires on it that are in very decent shape with tons of tread left, the spare out back is BRAND NEW as far as i can tell. while i am sure the tires perform awsome in the mud they are a little noisy for our tastes for a daily driver.

looking for something a little less aggresive. if anyone wanted to maybe swap tires for the Maxxis mudders that would rock.

pics i stole from kane  ( we havent taken any of it yet)

if someone had some decent tires mounted on stock montero or d50 wheels i would possibly give up the fake bead lock wheels too so i wouldnt have to mess with dismounting the tires. the wheels have some small surface rust on them but i am gonna get them cleaned up with some steel wool and get some better pics of them. if i can ever find my camera in storage

no rubbing, just noisy on the road as all mud terrain tires are. the montero will never see mudding or anything like that while we own it, now a turbo motor is a different story. we are just looking for something that rides a little smoother for everyday driving that we use it for.

here is a little closer pic of the maxxis tires. they also can be studded if needed.

we are wanting to go with something more like this.

hey bryen, i got my stock f250 tires on my raider. they fit fine on some 16" blingers from the bone yard. i think the tires are firestone steelteck. 235/75/16 and no clearance issues with them.

what wheels did your raider have on them? do you still have them and would you want to get rid of them?

i wouldnt mind a set of stock wheels and just pick up some new tires at tax time and just hang on to these mudder tires for winter since they will probably be great in the snow.

the problem is my budget, i dont have one

no worries on the thread jack, looks like i am gonna pick up wrngwae's stock wheels and tires so the thread can get off topic and its not a biggy.

once i get ahold of his i may be interested in selling the wheels and tires on our montero, but i may keep them for snow weather since ohio gets pretty aggressive with snow. i love the look of mid tires but the ride i could do without on a daily driver. if our montero was more of a toy truck then i wouldnt be as worried about it but we drive it everyday and is mostly in town driving and those mud tires are way overkill for what we need.

you guys know me i cant leave anything stock looking so i have some plans for the montero, something of a rally style theme. money is so bad right now it wont be anytime soon though.

but most rally trucks had all terrain tires on them ;)

I have a set of half life Duelers on my Tacoma I didn't like them they're too hard a compound for street IMHO

but the sidewalls are thick for airing down. (don't get excited I'm in Cali lol so I don't think you want to trade with me..)

My next set are going to be Yokohama's GeoLanders HT or AT
