BAGLEY
1989 Conquest SHP unmodified. It has 104xxx original miles. Black with tan interior. Original floor mates, radio, steering wheel controls stil work, and antenna still works. The struts AREN'T blown. Flip ups still work. Everything still works. Just had it's oil changed about a month ago but it's been sittin for about 3 weeks. It's currently located in Alabama but will shortly moved here in Oceanside, California. The only things wrong with the car is a leaky injector, drivers side rear wheel bearing which I have, and the front bumper is peeling. Besides that there is nothing wrong with the car. There is no body damage, no rust. The car is absolutely gorgeous. Please email me at marinebagley09@yahoo.com for pictures or any questions you have. I'm asking $4000 for it and it's a great buy. Thank you for looking

Coke
Can I please see what the front seats look like, with the seat covers removed? If the seats are worn underneath, this is a BIG deal. You say its completely unmodified, but I do see a few things that stand out. Things that need attention....1.) It's missing the battery tie down. 2.) It has an HKS accordian hose pipe. 3.) The valve on the SAC has been wired back on. 4.) What exactly is down by the air canister, held on by mechanics ribbon? 5.) The car needs a rear driver wheel bearing. At 104,000 miles it really should not need one. What happened for it to need one so soon? 6.) What exactly may have happened to the front bumper, for the paint to be chipped off the front? Was the car in a minor accident? 7.) The leaking injector....is it leaking internally into the Mixer, or is it leaking externally, all over the throttle body creating a fire hazard? Now, more questions.... 8.) How are the tires? Good tread life, no cracking?9.) How are the rims? Any bends? Does the car drive smoothly down the road?10.) What do those frame rails look like? Can we see a good lit picture of the under body of the car, particularly the frame rails?11.) Does the car run warm when sitting in traffic? Do both fans run, but it still wants to creep up on the gauge?12.) Does the Air Conditioner blow cold? I'm actually interested in the car....but you'll certainly need to move off the price listed, with its given bugs pointed out above. Car is not worth $4000 the way it sits. 87quest-TSI
Where in Alabama is the car?
BAGLEY
It's currently located in mobile, Alabama. I just got stationed at Pendleton and haven't had anything moved here yet.
BAGLEY
The tires are in great shape, the injector is leaking into the mixer, the vacuum Lines are what is zip tied. The previous owner replaced the intake because because it got a hole in it some how. The car drives straight with no vibrations. If I had pictures of the front seats I would show you but they are in good condition. I don't know why the wheel bearing went bad i bought the car with it and I've only owned the car for two months. I would love to keep the car but I can't. The car hasn't been in a minor accident the previous owner took the car to a car wash and the paint started peeling. The a/c blows but not cold because it needs a recharge. The o-ring needs to be replaced on the condensor.I've seen cars in worse condition this and have gone for te same price. dmdvzla
Nice car!! and I do think it is a good price. If you say you only have had the car for a couple of months, its a good chance this car was the same car that was posted here a few months ago by Couth'nize. I remember the owner was asking $4500...if I am not mistaken....I also remember that car had front seat covers and it was a cloth tan interior. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=107072 Edited September 7, 2010 by dmdvzla
BAGLEY
I'm pretty sure it's the same person. I know her name but can't remember it right now. I bought the car in Jacksonville and had it trailered to mobile, Alabama. And that's where it's been. I did buy the car for 4500. Her name was Becky. But she was a really nice lady and I saw this car and another. It was a khaki with red interior. I went and saw this car and trie to get in touch with guy but he already sold the car. I love these cars I really do and I know I'll never find another this clean. But as of right now I'm living in an apartment and I don't have a garage to store the car. autotr8er2
You should get all the "bugs" fixed on the 22 year old car and charge 'ol nitpicky' $5500. LOL. I think its a decent price. Just teasing all. Don't get sensitive.

BAGLEY
Ok. So I just found out from my shop that it's going to take 3 weeks to a month to get my stuff moved from Alabama to California so I need the car gone asap. Preferably by next week so I can get another to vehicle to get to and from work.

Minagera
Really? You need the car gone, however you won't go lower than 4. If the car truly was mint I could see your asking price, however it has been modified and is not "mint." Better to sell it to someone who knows and loves these cars, like Coke. Coke
Too late...I've already made my decision. I'm fixing my Neon instead.
BAGLEY
How is it not mint? Everything on the car is original. It has an autometer boost gauge which can be removed of you like looking at the old sluggish one. So it's not mint because of that one part?
Coke
Mint = In perfect mechanical & cosmetic condition. This car is not. It requires a wheel bearing, paint work, and injectors. Likely a couple other things as well, since it is 21 years old, in what you like to call "unmolested condition". dmdvzla
Maybe your pictures don't do the car justice. Wash it in and out(perhaps a wax coat) ...and take good pictures....not cell phone pictures. I don't know about mint condition; but I remember the pictures the previous owner had up on craigslist about 4 months ago and for sure it looked beautiful. In your defense, for sure it's not a mint car...people sometimes forget it's a 21 year old car that has been driven (not kept in a crystal box)...and again, if it was MINT...you would probably be asking over 8k for it; as I've seen with other fellow members here (like the blue 88 in CONNETICUT for 12.5K ; or the yellow 89 beast that sold about 2 years ago for 14k) So, for a mint car....it's required MORE money. I don't think your asking price is unreasonable, I think it's worth that much. I would recommend you taking more time to show people what you have..and be patient. Then again, in this economy; I have seen people sell Gallardos for 80k. A man's got to do what he's got to do.
