figured out my oil separator, got my turbo oil feed line finished, pulled A/C stuff from under the dash to make wiring gauges/boost controller/turbo timer easier.

bled the brakes out tonight, got turbo oil return finished, hooked up all my electrical connections, battery is charged.

Need to prime oil pump, reassemble intercooler piping, fill with coolant and oil, bleed clutch, hang the exhaust, wire in wideband and oil pressure gauges, do rough cold TPS/ISC, get some gas in the tank, and start it.

It's getting close :D

holset is rebuilt, and the smoke is gone! :D Now I need to pull the plugs out and clean the carbon off and gap them down a little. adjust my ignition timing and tune the maft and I'm good (for now)

Keep up the good work, looking forward to seeing some completed pictures and videos of these. I'm living vicariously through builds like this until I get my car back from paint and body work, lol...

So I've been struggling with the 84 not revving beyond ~2,200 rpm. I'd checked everything I can think of.

I decide to pull the injectors, which were a set of Python rebuilds, and I notice they are "L" 540cc injectors

So I have swapped in a set of J code 850cc injectors and will be trying it again in a little while.

Well time for an update!

Yesterday I drove the 84 ~35 miles up to my apartment, with no issues/failures! I need to tune some more fuel in to the MAFT on the midrange and WOT but other than that it ran good.

Update Time!!

Now running two 1050cc green injectors and 15psi on the HX35w....... its like a whole new car compared to the 850cc injectors, plus I have plenty of fuel left for more boost. I will have a video of it soon. Also will be having the car on the dyno at http://www.fluidmotorunion.com/ once I get the tune nailed down a little better.

It is SO close to running again!! I added a Schneider 296 mechanical cam, made a DSM style nitrous jet turbo oil restrictor, bought and added a new U-pipe going into the throttle body, made a new turbo intake pipe with a bigger filter, and, put new valve seals in the head.

It will catch and try to run for about 5 seconds. When it does run the new cam sounds awesome! I need to check a few things over tomorrow and actually get it driving.

It Runs!!!! Rough tuned it to a rich 3/4 throttle. I need to adjust my idle speed down a bit and tune it the rest of the way. Pics and vids to come tomorrow. the new cam is going to be fun.

New update, the Starion is in the garage where I am going to be tearing down the suspension over the winter months and installing some poly bushings, camber plates, front wheel bearings, sleeve over coil overs, and, cleaning up the rear wheel wells like I did the fronts.

I also have a new TiAL 38mm wastegate to install along with a manual boost controller (or maybe electronic). Need to cut and get my exhaust welded to make it fit better. Also looking to drop the transmission and install an upgraded pressure plate. Then I have poly motor mounts to install. Finally I want to degree my Schneider 296 cam.

Then I need to drop the car a bit... and get better wheels...

On to the pictures

Tore down the drivers side front suspension and found stripped threads on the nut that holds the strut to the strut mount. fortunately I have a replacement set that will go in. Cut the stock spring support, cleaned up the strut housing and painted it.... white. <_< Then I baked it in the oven to cure the paint.
