turbo jer
Hey everyone, I currently have a 1986 Starion ESI-R that has a blown passenger side CV boot. Parts for these cars are few and far between here and Canada and the only axle I can find is listed as being for the non-intercooled model. Is this acceptable for the turbo cars? jisleyjr
The 87 and under were 4 bolts on the axles, so you should be good. I do not recall ever hearing about different types for the intercoolered and non-ic'd.
Alan
Autozone # 7951 for intercooler. Several sites list for w/o and with IC. If that's shot you could probably have rebulit locally as cheap. If the boot is the only problem. I get mine from NAPA. To change the inside you have to remove the outside so I change bothon that axle.
turbo jer
Alas! We don't have Autozone in Canada.

They can be made to work, but i would keep looking for the intercooled axles or just get boots. Have you tried a us based Internet parts seller? turbo jer
Yes, but the prices are astronomical once you add shipping into the equation. I just received a phone call back from Carquest saying they managed to find one. Thanks everyone!
