Komeuppance
Let's see... I tend to keep my cars. 1982 Dodge D50(Mitsubishi Mighty Max) 5spd, 2.6http://home.comcast.net/~DriftAbility/images/Komeuppance/D50front.jpgParents bought it new in 1982, I handled the wheel in it when I was 6. Taught myself how to use the clutch when I was 12 driving it around on our property. It had 18k on it when I inherited it at the age of 16. I tore up the town in this truck, smoked a lot of non DOHC Hondas. Pictured here lowered and spray painted flat black because there was surface rust everywhere. Truck now has 37k on it, and I still drive it once a month. Already have 99% of the parts for a turbo swap for it. http://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/SR20D50.jpgAnother shot of it, seen here hauling an sr swap for a friend. 1986 Mitsubishi Starion 5spd, Turbo Intercooled 2.6http://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/Sales/menstarion.jpgMy first Starion, found it by looking for turbo options for my truck (LOL). I was sitting in my truck, finishing the deal on the phone with the owner. I started up my truck, went to put it in first but the clutch cable bracket broke and I had no clutch!! Jealous truck. Bought this when I was 17 for $400. Engine was fully disassembled and it hadn't been driven in 2 years. Was a mess. Can't believe I got it running. The pic is taken when I had just taken it for it's first spin, as you can see the engine crane in the background. Also pictured my truck with it's original paint. Since it was my first Starion, I blew the motor by running it too rich, and then I parked it and never got back to it... finally decided to let it go to a good friend for half of what I paid for it. 1989 Honda Prelude S(low)I really didn't want to buy a Honda, all my friends were shocked when I got it... times were tough for a 17 year old with a part time job, and two blown up Mitsubishis. I had to buy the Honda because I blew the motor in my truck, and so I had to get the Starion going... so I did, it lasted a month before I killed it by not knowing the boost sensor wasn't hooked up (ran WAY rich). No pics, but it was gold, had replacement JDM engine(carb'd LOL). I lowered it an inch by cutting the springs a very tiny bit. Bought it for cheap from my friend's mom, fixed a lot of dents and replaced a stupid $100 ignitor... then sold it for a bit more than I had in it. Only had it for a year, until I saved enough money to get my truck running again. 1986 Mitsubishi Starion 5sp, Turbo 2.6http://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/Sales/Flatty/FrontPass.JPGMy friend's car actually, but was given to me because his parents didn't want him to fix it after the engine died. It was his first car, I found it at some crappy car lot near my work. Bargained the dealer down to $700. We drove it around for two weeks, the engine developed a rod knock when were cruising at an easy 30mph... only used it for 200 miles. I told my friend we should fix it, but his parents really didn't like the car, so it sat for years in front of my house, till he told me that I should just get rid of it for him. I tried to sell it for him, but no one wanted it. So it sat for a few more years, until my mom's friend hit it with her truck. Then I told another good friend of mine he could have it for free if we could move it to his place ASAP. He planned to get it going in a few weeks, but it sat... for another two years. He blew up his crappy v8 pinto AKA Mustang II, finally... and we had a mad rush to get the car going again. Had to replace nearly everything on it since it sat at his place for too long. He's put 14k on it, and I'm really surprised he hasn't killed it yet. He's killed 4 previous cars because of neglect. 1986 Mitsubishi Starion 5spd, Turbo Intercooled 2.6http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10070/100_2613.JPGMy third Starion, 3rd time's the charm... haha. Bought this car for $700 with a poorly running engine. Timing chain guide had broken and made awful sounds. My friend and I drove 60 miles to see it, I brought new guides for it and the plan was to swap the guides and then drive it back. MANY hours later than planned, started it up and it wasn't showing any oil pressure on the gauge. I REALLY wanted the car, so I paid for some of it and held onto the title and left the car there (was the guy I sold the Prelude to, he also had a Starion). Then a month later I retardedly decided to use a tow strap to tow it all the way home... on a night with so much ice it took my truck 15 minutes to make it up my 100ft hill. I bought a low mile used motor from the same guy and loaded it in the back of my truck and had the Starion tied up with my friend at the controls. Tow rope came off, friend ran over it when pulling over and broke my air dam. Then ice started forming on the window since it was so cold and the battery was dying, he had to have the window down the entire way back. Then, he radioed to me that a tire was making a REALLY bad vibration, by then it was too late and the tire blew at 60mph on the interstate half way back. He had run over something when we first had to pull over. Left the car on the side of the freeway at 3am, drove back to my house to get a spare because the car didn't come with one, then stopped by a 24hr Walmart to buy a battery so he could see my brake lights 12ft in front of him as I had to hit 80mph to gain enough speed and make it up a steep hill. LOL... what a friend. Swapped the new motor in, still didn't have oil pressure... realized it was a halfway busted wire going to the sending unit... got really pissed realizing that the old motor was good the whole time... but then got over it because I had another Starion to drive. http://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/HdrRain1.jpghttp://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/HDRNight1.jpgI lowered it... a LOT. Anyway, I've put almost 30k on it since I made it road worthy. It's my daily driver, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere... except steep driveways. I love this car so much. My truck will always be my first love, and I still drive it time to time... trying to keep it from getting jealous again. I found the original key for the car hidden behind the rear license plate. 1990 Honda Accord POShttp://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/Sales/Accord/Front.jpgBought this for $250 from a friend of a friend, with an ok engine but bad trans. Was going to fix it up for the wife and put an h22 in it, but then I brought it home and she hated it... LOL... wonder why. Anyway, I traded it for a laptop that was worth $600 at the time from some guy on Craigslist who said the word Nitrous every other sentence. I'm still using that laptop to this day, ha. 1998 Infinity I30 vq30dehttp://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/i3017sdrop.jpgGot this for the wife, 2 owner car well taken care of. It's her first car. It's not that low, yet. Put 17" Q45 wheels on it. Also installed a really loud ebay intake/cone filter on it since the oil change place (I don't bother to change the oil myself in this) kept telling me I needed to change the air filter. She tells me stories of ricers in the lane next to her revving their engine or trying to hit on her, so she just revs up the engine to let them hear the super loud intake and leaves them in the dust... LOL... and then she hits the hazard flashers to claim the win. (One of many ricer jokes she learned from me. She also did this to me when she was supposed to be following me, but then she got bored and passed me when I wasn't paying attention and hit the hazards on me, LOL) I set the cruise control to 100mph on our way to Cali for an hour, haha. 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse 5spd, Turbo Intercooled 4g63$400 with no title. Had a recent headgasket swap done but they couldn't get it to fire up. I bought it with the intention of stripping it and keeping the 4g63 stuff for a swap (which is sitting in my garage now). We got it running, the crank angle sensor wire was damaged was the only problem. It came with an extra set of wheels which I sold for $160. Then I sold the trans for $100. Then I sold the tires it came with for $50, and forgot what I did with the wheels. Then I stripped the entire engine bay and sold the shell for $100. Also kept the extra $200 reman'd ECU and stereo as well. $10 Profit!! (Took a year for me to finally get rid of, but still.) 1985.5 Mitsubishi Starion 5spd, Turbo Intercooled 2.6http://home.comcast.net/~Driftability/images/Komeuppance/FlattyTrainsmall.jpgThen I bought this, a very rare 1/2 year model change. Pictured in the black 83 Starion is the friend I sold my first 86 Starion to, and yep following up the rear is the Silver 86 I gave away. LOL, also still using the tow rope method to bring Starions home. It's in minty condition except... http://home.comcast.net/~Driftability/images/Komeuppance/855reardent1.jpgOh my. The interior is REALLY nice, the car had one owner, but it seems that it got hit and the owner drove it till the headgasket blew... back in 1995. I was able to convince the wife to let me have this (after I already brought it home LOL) by saying that it would be her Starion. Works for me, since I can get her to buy the parts for it. I've had it for a year and a half as a garage ornament... just recently starting working on it... haha... A family reunion in my shop just a few months ago:http://home.comcast.net/~Komeuppance/TheShop.jpgGood times. -Robert

MiniSRT4
No pics but here is the short list of em 91 Dodge Colt 4spd I used to take this thing off roading like it was a wrc car, which eventually led the motors demise and allowed for the n/a 4g63 swap, then that motor spun a bearing and I sold it to a friend 97 Dodge Neon HighlineThe beginning stages of rice. Thing was a factory freak, taking out all my honduh friends with jdm swaps in all of its sohc fury. 92 GMC Jimmy (dubbed James after I tried getting stuck during the "october storm")She had a 2 inch suspension lift and eventually a busted front diff, hit a deer in ohio, towed it back with a uhaul truck fixed it then two months later it (at 267k)threw a rod 87 Starion, aquired for free from a friend who needed space to fix his Talon, been a headache in my life ever since, getting a fresh rebuild as we speak, been the best year and half of my car owning life 04 Chevorlet Trailblazer, nothing cool or funny to tell about this, I just drive it to work and school, oh yea, dont buy one cause the transmissions BLOW!!! 1st one went right at 100,300 miles, and 40k later, the new one is slipping too Edited April 4, 2010 by MiniSRT4
strang3majik
1968 Barracuda vertMy dad bought it for me from beside a barn for $100. Put a fuel pump on it and threw some gas in a maxwell house can and drove it home. Lol. Have a 10.5:1 360 with a A833 4 speed and Dana 60 Rear end waiting to go in it once I get the body work done. 1987 Chrysler ConquestYes, my car now. Can be yours 1988 Chrysler Conquest (parts car) 1998 Dodge Ram SS/TWhen we moved to Florida, we were driving down the road by a little dealership and saw it. So, we decided to test drive it...well...it was fast as hell for a truck and handled like a car. 11k later, we drive away in our truck with 70k miles on it with pristine paint and clean as a pin. 6 years later, paint falling off, 150k miles, and in desparate need of ball joints, my dad decided to give it to me since I've worked on keeping that truck running and clean as could be over the years. To this day the interior still looks brand new. So...I did okay 1985 Dodge Omni GLHFoudn it in a driveway. Talked to the lady, said she bought it new and drove it until the a/c quit in 1994, where she had another car, so she just parked the Omni and never so much as opened the door on it until I picked it up in 2009...lol Now, its terrorizing the streets of my neighborhood until I get it painted After disconnecting the electronics on the carburator, it runs like a raped ape up until 4k rpm...lol 1985 Dodge Shelby ChargerMy newest aqcuisition. Just got it for $250. Needs a turbo and to have the rebuilt 2.2 put back in it. Was a great deal we stumbled across one day when we got lost...haha. Guy said he cosigned the loan for his buddy to get it, and one day his buddy disappeared but left the car there. So, $4000 later, the guy sat it by his shop with a tarp over it. We called him and he said that everytime he looks at it he gets PO'd...so...make him an offer, we can't insult him. So, $250 with brand new tires, no rust, nice interior, and a recently rebuilt motor. All I have to do is reinstall the whole cradle assembly (front suspension/engine/tranny/everything) since the PO took it out to put a new turbo in. and, yes, I still own every one of the above But...pics in order of listing. http://i159.photobucket.com/albums/t134/d0d63r4m/PICT1035.jpghttp://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/strang3majik/DSC02355.jpghttp://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/strang3majik/DSC00907.jpghttp://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/strang3majik/DSC01538.jpghttp://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/strang3majik/redbrakes.jpghttp://i620.photobucket.com/albums/tt282/strang3majik/DSC02515.jpg

MoltoMario
First car 91 Acura Integra. Didnt do too much to it other then just replacing broken parts that the PO neglected. I sold it with 198k miles and still see it in front of the persons house who bought it from me every now and then.http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/DSC00641.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/DSC00643.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/DSC00645.jpg 1996 Ford Explorer XLT. All I did to that car was put some 30in Goodyear MTRs and Black steel wheels. Best car ive had so far. Only thing I ever had to do to that car was oil changes and brakes.http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/My%20Explorer%20XLT/DSC01220.jpg 1996 BMW E36 M3. I do miss this car. The handling was purely amazing. I never really realized how good it was untill I got the Quest haha...I did a ton of work to this car. Nearly every preventative maintenance thing that could be done.Mine and Jpods carshttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/BMW%20E36%20M3/2969_1145147510423_1279562483_39368.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/BMW%20E36%20M3/DSC_0174.jpgA famous one on SQChttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/BMW%20E36%20M3/n642856648_1025162_1036.jpg Then I got my current 1989 Fiji Blue Conquest. The car was Mechs then bought by Jason(Boosted88tsi), Then sold to another one of our friends, who then sold the car to me. Originally I dreamed of buying the car from Mech before Jason, but couldn't come up with the cash in time. The Car was pretty much built by Mech (Taki). I have put Mookeeh full body coils along with some new nicer additions. Ive tried to make sure all the Modifications Ive done to the car are just as tasteful and not hacked in anyway just as Mech intended.http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4043/4436210875_e64920295c_b.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/Conquest%20Tsi/DSC_0157.jpghttp://farm5.static.flickr.com/4002/4427574042_b1aeaa2d37_b.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/Thunder%20Drift%20Skid%20Pad/DSC_0034.jpghttp://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b125/MoltoMario/Thunder%20Drift%20Skid%20Pad/DSC_0023.jpg Last but not least. 2005 Mazda Miata. BOOSTED88tsi
Dave, any pics of the maro? That thing sounds legiiiiiiit. This is going to be a loooooooooooooong one. Got my 1st car when i was 12, in 6th grade. 1968 Mustang coupe 289 2 barel, with a rebuilt c4. My aunts first car, got it for free 99! It had been sitting since the 80's. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/mustang/mustang005.jpgGot it up here from LA and had it running with a new voltage regulator and battery in a day. Pulled the motor a year later and its been sitting since. Once i get the money from the truck, its all going into the stangbang. Car #2 was a 91 Lincoln lsc. Bought for 800 for the running 5.0 and rebuilt aod. Pulled motor and trans in a weekend when i was like 14 and smashed the car. My dad got it stuuuuuuuupid sideways on the way home and thats when i fell in love with drifting. #3 was a impulse buy. Both my dad and I realized the mustang wasn't going to be done before i was 16 so we went on craigslist. Found this for $500. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/black%20and%20silver%20quests/trooprt006.jpg1988 Isuzu trooper 2 door with the 2.6 4 cylinder. It needed a clutch, put one in it. My mom and dad put like 2000 miles on it, then it blew the headgasket. Sold like 4 months before i got my permit for 800. Had 265k on it, and ran great! #4 After selling that we got on craigslist again. Turbo rwd and $500?! Couldn't pass it up.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/black%20and%20silver%20quests/DSCF1457.jpgBought with blown headgasket, put it together and it fired up the first crank after sitting for 4 years. Drove for 6 months then sold. for $500 #5 Bought this 88 shp 5 speed with a blown motor for 600, it went through 2 with me and sold it for 2500, kid blew it up within a month and its now sittting awiating a 4g63 swap.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/black%20and%20silver%20quests/moms006-1.jpg #6 Bought this for 500 when i had the silver car, put a windshield and new 13"s on it and sold it for 1000. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/black%20and%20silver%20quests/moms013-1.jpg #7 Bought for $50 to do a g54b swap. Got crushed after sitting for 6 months.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/black%20and%20silver%20quests/215719490_718833193_0.jpg #8 94 civic ex, bought for 400 from my auto tech, sold for 1400 two weeks later. #9 After i sold my silver car, i said i was done with starquests, but then a deal i couldn't pass up was offered to me. So i was back in the starquest game, in probably one of the top ten quests that has been modded of all time.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/fiji/dsc0159if5.jpghttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/fiji/IMG_5949.jpghttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/fiji/forsale039.jpgBought it for 3500, threw some cosmos and a s16g on it and sold it for 5500 to a "friend" hehe. #10 87 starion, bought for 500 with a coworker to flip but it blew up on the way home then parted it. #11 Was a 84 es flatty, bought on here for 450ish i think. Cut two coils and drifted it, sold it when everyone lost interest for 500. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/flatty/IMG_8578.jpg #12 After i sold the fiji, i had 6000 in my pocket, was 17 and wanted to go FAST. 5800 Later, i had this http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/mustang/DSC_0022.jpgVortech 5.0, full maximum motorsports coils, and crazy amounts of power. Just listen http://s95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/mustang/?action=view¤t=commercialshoot026.flvThe tranny granaded on the way home, the previous owner had just done a tranny drain and fill, but kinda forgot the fill part. 2 weeks later and a new t5 it was up and running agian. I was pissed. #13 Was a 99 gt, traded for the 5.0 to get something realible drifted thunderhill pretty nice for stock suspension. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/mustang/l_18b7b88d393d4646953867ab1dcfc71c.jpg #14 Traded the Gt for a 240sux coupe with coils and wheels. Owned it for a week.http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/mustang/240/k.jpg#15 240sux vert, traded for my coupe, did a silvia front, kts coils, and hotwheels 18's. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/240sex/DSC_0194.jpghttp://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l150/BOOSTED88TSI/240sex/3.jpg#16 Was my Truck. dmyers151
I've had a few: 1. 89 Conquest TSi, 5spd, Fiji, SHP, sunroof. Bought for $700, drove it like a 16 year old, sold for $1000. Sits under a tree to this day. 2. 88 Conquest TSi, 5spd, San Marino, sunroof. Bought for $500, gutted the living ish out of it, junked the shell, broke even. Lives on in my Black car, I used the San Marino bumper cover and foam as well as some misc. hardware.3. 91 Mazda MX6, V6, 5spd. Bought for like $1100 drove it for a couple years, sold for...something.4. 98 Ford Escort base, 5spd. Most reliable car ever.5. 96 Ford Ranger, 5spd, 4cyl. bad pick'em up.6. 71 Dodge Dart Swinger, white w/black top, 318, auto. Bought for $500 on the way to a family party in PA. It had been sitting for 2 years. Came back the next weekend, drove it home 110 miles, no regi, no inspection, no insurance, w/ plates off our 72 Valiant. Made it all the way home without a hiccup, even got cocky and stopped for lunch with it, haha. Sold it 4 months later for $1500.7. 91 Honda Accord, 4cyl, 5spd, commuter/beater. Got it for like $700, drove it for a year, gave it to my brother, he drove it for a year(ish). Off roaded it, "raced" it, beat it to hell, then sold it to a co-worker for $1000. Dude's son totaled it 2 weeks later.8. 88 Chrysler Conquest TSi, Serbia Black, 5spd. My current car, bought crashed off ebay for "parts only" for $2125. Fixed that damage, up and running. Money pit.9. 93 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, 6 cyl, 5spd. Coolest stock interior ever, super reliable until it started to break down, haha. Bought for $3000, sold for $2000 out of pure frustration.10. 99 Dodge Ram 1500, 318, auto. Bought this the day the Jeep left me sit for the last time. Paid $7700 at the dealership (huge mistake), just driving it daily @ 11mpg.
