joe87tsi
I tested my tps sensor, checked the resistance, it reads 5.8ohms. then i checked the idle voltage, throttle not moved and it reads 40 volts, and when the throttle is all the way open it reads 0.48volts. just for clarification, does that mean my tps is bad? scott87star
Very bad, the TPS voltage should be around 0.5 volts at the idle position and close to 5.0 volts with the accelerator wide open. Take it off to see if the little plastic gear inside is broken, the throttle shaft fits into that. Scott
2manytoyz
sounds like you used your tester wrong
Indiana
hot coolant idle is .5 or lower, its never 40 there is only 5volts going to it anyway but it could have been .4 and at WOT is has to be at least 4.5 so you are good there. If you just read the scale wrong it would appear to be properly set up.
