My Boss's Brother also had similar reconstructive surgery done to his face after he attempted to kill himself with a shotgun. He aimed wrong, and removed the front of his face and remained alive(Thus, Attempted). This guy may have experienced the same, or got into a fight and had his face beaten into an object. That's why if you wanna do it right, you gotta bite the barrel, 100% guaranteed! I remember some years back, watching the live news, some dude in LA stopped all traffic in the 110/ 105 interchange, extended a huge a banner saying something about H-MO's, lit himself on fire and that didn't work so he took a shot gun, put it on the ground, barrel in mouth and on live TV blew his brains out!
