TSiGuy17
Hey guys, what do Cosmo coils do to the ride height? I need to update my suspension and I want to do the Cosmo coils and ST sway bars but I also want a lower or more aggressive stance. I'll keep looking through the forum to find my answer, but if you'd like to save me a little time, feel free =] Thanks!Ryan
MoltoMario
you can adjust the ride height to a certain extent. You have a good few inches you are able to drop the car, But the lower you go the less suspension travel you will have. Which is the crappy part
Jdubya
The coils are pretty short so I would assume they lower a good bit and/or have a pretty stiff ride.
Convette
if you want to do it right, do the mr2 conversion, then you can go as low as you want, and still have suspension travel.

Yep MR2 conversion FTW I'm not done with mine, STILL, but this was a test fit a few months ago on Technology's car, and I've still got 2-3" of travel at that height, but only about 1-1.5" till the tire would push the inner fender liner into the unibody http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7120110.jpghttp://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10030/P7120109.jpg There's a piece of 2x4 under the tire in those pics, so that the jack doesn't hit the body Derek Edited January 14, 2010 by D_Venable

TSiGuy17
Okay so I was looking at Roberts link and it looks really nice. But how would that work for a DD? It looks pretty low.. But it looks sooooo good! Ryan
Komeuppance
I use it for a DD... you will need to do something about the front fender so you can turn. If you want some help cutting and welding let me know man, just bring your car down to my shop. I didn't drive my car last weekend because I had to put my spare spare set of tires on, and were HORRIBLE to drive in the rain. -Robert
Komeuppance
With just the MK1 sleeve overs aka "adjustable coil overs" this is about how low you can go, you will only have about 2" of suspension travel. I drove it like this for a year, drove it to Seattle and back, and it was ok... but now that I've got the tokico's on, it's muuuuch better. http://home.comcast.net/~Driftability/slammed.jpghttp://home.comcast.net/~Driftability/slammed2.jpg -Robert Edited January 14, 2010 by Komeuppance
TSiGuy17
Okay cool thanks man. I think that's what I'm going to do.. I've got other things to take care of first (fix the Avenger and tune) but as soon as I'm done with that, it'll be time for an exhaust and suspension.
