I am 50% thru my microsquirt build. I have all of my wiring sketched out except the ignition wiring. I currently have a MSD6AL with 8910 tach adaptor running on the factory ignitor box. Can someone provide me a good link to data that shows how I can run either fuel only or spark control on the micro while retaining the 6al?

My 6 puck Comp Clutch from the group buy recently started slipping. I tore the trans out and checked the clutch. Saw a little bit of surface rust around, but otherwise the clutch and pressure plate did not look horribly overheated. Does anyone have the service limits on clutch thickness for the comp clutch? Also the springs in the center hub of the disk, have their receiving slots beat up pretty bad. Th corners are ovaled out, is this normal? Car has 5 years of auto x and drag launches on it (1000+ of autox launches at least 25 drag passes). I don't owe the clutch anything but wouldn't mind keeping it around if it is possible. Also is noticed just the slightest amount of oul on the bottom of my rear main 2 days after i pulled the flywheel. Is it worth changing the rear main? Do you need to fully drop the oil pan to do the rear seal or just take out the back bolts? Can it be done with the engine in the car? There was no oil on the back of the flywheel so i do not feel that the rear main is tied to the clutch slip.

There are shops who have done this before. If your willing to spend the money they might do it again. Buscher Racing who hosts the DSM shootout had a shop 4G63 Starion.

Upgraded sway bars and aftermarket springs really made the biggest improvements to my car after tires. The lift off oversteer is pretty typical of these cars. Trail braking helps alot. you will learn slow in fast out is the best way to make these cars work. If you are TBI throttle response will be another thing you begin to notice, you will need to be back in the throttle almost 1/2 a second before other cars coming out of a turn. Driver mod is the biggest contributor to a good auto-x time and the starquest isn't the easiest to learn on.

where did you source your V-band joints at those prices?

SHP 9's in the rear with 255/50/16 drag radials and 7" fronts with 205/55/16. Fenders rolled and cosmo coilovers. http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp171/mix_67/My%20Cars/Drag%20radials/conquest040.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp171/mix_67/My%20Cars/Drag%20radials/conquest035.jpg http://i409.photobucket.com/albums/pp171/mix_67/My%20Cars/Drag%20radials/conquest031.jpg

After several years of auto-x my front camber plate bearings are shot in my MK1 plates. Does anyone know if they are rebuildable? I have tried contacting MK1 on ebay and have gotten no response on new bearings being available. Does anyone have a good email contact for them, the one i used previously keeps bouncing back.

I believe Andy has liquidated most of his parts. I am putting the car up on jacks tonight and dropping the trans. Once is survey the damage I will commit on one of these transmissions. Thanks to everyone who has worked with me so far.

At this point I only need a trans and do not want to break up your package. Also that is about a 4 hr drive for me. Thanks for the offer though.

Unfortunately this Trans already sold this weekend.

Looking for a working used 5-speed transmission local to Western PA. I broke a front universal at the DSM shootout this weekend in Norwalk and broke the shifter housing clean off my trans. Please let me know if you have a trans and a price. Also if you are further away and willing to ship to 16326. Thanks.

Anyone else going out to the DSM shootout this year? I will be there racing in the Max effort class. I should be around all three days. If you see my black flatty feel free to stop by and say hello.
