I had an extra front piece laying around, kind of banged up, so I decided to hack it a little with a mini grinder.  I bought some ricer interfooler aluminum screen and tacked it on.  Painted it primer black for now. I think it looks alright, and the car runs cooler too.  :) I gotta order some clips for the plastic grille, looks a lot better with it in place.

where did you get the aluminum interfooler material from.  make another insert for the lower portion and I think that would finish  it off..

thats pretty sweet lookin. i think when u get the grille you should paint it flat black as well (same with the wrap around reflecter pieces from the grille) those fog lights on the air dam are nice too.

Cadillac had some cars at amaerican lemans series this year that had the front of there race cars like this but behind it all the air was channeled into the intake manifold.

would work great if you direct it toward the intake.

I bought the screen in the ricer section of Western Auto.  I'm planning to do a little repair work on my lower air dam, patch up the scuffs on the bumper, and repaint the front of the car.  I think the new grill will look much better painted the same color as the rest of the car.  For a while I was thinking "simulated carbon fiber look" but that will never look right.

I just plasma cut 2 "D" shapes in front of the oil cooler, you are right it does help the temp out a lot.....I will post picks as soon as I take some smile.gif

the only problem on that . is when your on the interstae the hood will raise about 1 inch or more depending on your speed .  also the air going in will go up and pass over the rad instead of going through it . been trying to get BURTON to make some plates for sale like he made for his car that goes around the hood latching system and blocks all the air from pushing the hood up and making the air go through the rad instead over it .  plus you will get better cooling on the interstate with the plates installed and keep any dust or dirt from going into the engine compartment while the hood is being held up by air .

burton are you there ?

p.s burton does look like the kicker from the movie called the (replacements ) lol

Looks amazing, definately on my list of things to do before I paint my quest.
Would hood pins help to hold the hood down? I don't particularly like the idea of the hood flipping on me, or the extra drag..

i havn't noticed absoutely anything different. temperature or hood movement wise after my vents. I am sure it has helped lower the oil temps but my oil temp gauge isn't hooked up yet.
