aknorthstar
Anybody using these now? I saw them when I was browsing 6054 headlights. About 200$ each http://www.gelightin...ights/overview/

CaliConquestAlex
There's no comparison to HID's....probably because they aren't as good. Better than conventional halogen bulbs, not as good as HID's. You can get a bolt on HID conversion for under $100 these days on ebay. Convette
They will be better than HID's soon. All OEMs have been developing these for a while now. Mad $$$ tho
aknorthstar
Actually found another conversion..http://i.seimg.net/images/1675256/main/h4ledg1kit.jpg
aknorthstar
The LED conversions advertise 1,500 to 1,900 lumens, A stock headlight produces about 900. So its like double, however the 6054 led probably has the right beam pattern because the case was made with the light. But the main thing I noticed is the 6054 LED uses 13 watts on regular beam and 26 on high. The LED conversion kit is 25 watts. SFBMX88
http://www.truck-lite.com/wcsstore/tl/catalog/images/grap/fws/new/27450-md.png Looks like you just have to make sure the pop up headlights can close since the polycarbonate lens protrudes abit more than the standard 6054. They also appear to be the same assembly as the Truck-lite brand LED headlights. Definitely gonna try these in the Toyota first. It currently has Hella H4 housings with an HID kit. Halogen housings and HID bulbs do not mix, way too much blinding glare. http://www.wranglerforum.com/f33/2012-led-head-lights-133954.html http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?329192-New-TruckLite-LED-headlights reviews on amazon look good too: http://www.amazon.com/Truck-Lite-27450C-Rectangular-Headlamp-Reflector/product-reviews/B007ED7HNY/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?showViewpoints=1 http://www.amazon.com/GE-69822-Nighthawk-Rectangular-Headlamp/product-reviews/B00BQX2BSO/ref=dp_top_cm_cr_acr_txt?showViewpoints=
JohnnyWadd
I have read several reviews. Seems like a awesome light. One thing I found was that they will ice up because they don't get warm like HID'S and halogens
aknorthstar
Good point about the ice. My silverado has LED taillights and they get iced up in winter.
JohnnyWadd
I do a lot of snow wheeling and that's a factor. HID'S maybe. For the starion these might be sweet. If they got iced up I guess pop them down and let the under hood heat fix it.

JohnnyWadd
I can't believe anayone would want to drive their baby in the winter in the first place Winter driving is fun. And not necessarily in the starion.

My 87 and 88 are in hibernation, but the 86 I just picked up will be ice racing this year. Edited October 31, 2013 by aknorthstar
