Black Valve Cover

Looks real cool in black, I had my valve cover like that in red Heron had painted it for me years ago but it started coming off in a few spots, possibly from contact with wrenches.. <_< Looks good in black. :lol:

 

sadly paint does not stick very well to aluminum no matter how well you prep it. they have special additives for professional paint that helps but still not fool proof. it will chip off very easy with the slightest bump of a tool or part being installed.

There it is in red, it lasted a few years but note that lil grey spot, that is one area where it came off.. This is an old pic of a previous setup..

I love that stuff. Put a few thick coats on it, and go over it with a heat gun to get a nice even wrinkle...

 

I did the supercharger and valve cover on my GLH like that.
