88351wtsi
It seems like my tranny isn't going into o.d. As long as I am cruising until I let off throttle. What rpm should the engine be turning at 80 mph? Mine is at 4000 which seems high to me. Act like it is still in 3rd but can see a small change when I turn od off on shifter. 88351wtsi
That's what I was afraid of. I feel it kick in sometimes and rpms drop but then goes back up. Could it be a sensor or something simple?
88351wtsi
I may have found another post but would it be the temp sensor if it works when cold and not when normal temp or is it that it could be slipping so bad it has to go to 3rd? scott87star
It isn't difficult to reset the OD band, just jack up the car so you can get under and it's the cover plate with three bolts on it towards the front of the tranny. Follow the FSM method and see if that fixes it.
