ryddler
Old swapmeet postings seem to be adding up without any merit in holding on to them. What do you all think?
travs87tsi
if you wiped out every 30 days they could simply repost after the 30 days. that would make sure most stuff for sale actually is still for sale . travis
SiG
I'd say 4 - 6 weeks. This way one would have to repost his or hers For sale/Wanted items and therfore have an up to date list. This will for shure avoid people having to reply to a listing that is no longer available or wanted! PLEASE everyone lets make it a STANDARD to post a STATE or a CITY where the item is available or wanted! Good times, Sig
Silver_Bullet
I say two weeks to four weeks, but I was wondering if there would be a way to notify members to renew their ads and/or update them. Or give them the option to run it until it sells, kinda like Autotrader.com does.
csdisme
30 days would be fine. It would be nice to have a standard format also. item description price location too many posts and emails going back and forth asking the same questions just my .02 thanks cullen
JustinD23
Maybe set up an e-mail for people to send a notice to you once the sale has been completed but have a semi-annual purge for those that can't follow the posting regs you set? :-/ That way you could start fresh every six months and take out post on your schedule based on e-mails sent to you. turboTSI
I said 6 weeks but I agree 4-6 weeks would be suffiecient.. besides if it dont sell after 4-6 weeks maybe u need to try a different strategy to sell it.. lol turboTSI
jawatech
i would just get rid of them as soon as they are over. I cant see any point in keeping them afterwards.
Xtreme Industries
4 weeks sounds good but if they are getting enough activity and nothing selling they should remain. if you could do it, anything without any activity for 4 weeks should disapear. madhatch
i try using them for parts pricing but 6 weeks is more than enough.. maybe we can archive them affter 4 with no activity
thoagie1
I say two weeks with no action then it's time to go. Most people seem to get what they want out of their post by then anyways.
