Leonard Catanzaro
Probe requires a 1/8-27 hole/tap to install. Putting it in the exhaust manifold under the turbo is the plan. Has anyone else used this location? Would it make the exhaust manifold prone to crack? It will be stress relived and all casting flash, numbers, and probaly heat sheild mounts removed. Plan on covering it with header/heat wrap. If it isn't a good location, guess downpipe. Thanks for all your input and suggestions. lenny
scott87star
I have mine in the manifold, there is a flat(ter) spot on the underside or backside by cylinder 3. It drilled and tapped quite easily.

scott87star
How long? 30K miles give or take a few. I also use that same port to measure TIP (Turbine Inlet Pressure).
