My dad owned a couple of Volkswagen buses when I was younger and thats kind of how the VW bug stuck with me.  Im still hunting for an affordable bus to build for my dad, but for now I started with some other more affordable Vdubs.

This is our 2010 Jetta with many mods besides R32 replica 18inch wheels and window tint.

My buddy had a second gen Scirocco (16 valve '87 I think)back in the early 90's. Fun and decent looking car, but he didn't have any mechanical skills and it was financially draining, so he got rid of it. Same thing with another buddy, except he had a Corrado. Closest I had to a dub was a '98 Audi A4 Quattro. Kinda fun to drive, but not much to look at. Sold it for basically same reasons as above. All the hot girls in high school had Rabbit's back in the day.

We just ran across a mint Scirroco at the local yard with 16 valve last month.  It was a shame to see it in there

Had a '54 Sunroof Bug with the Heart-Shaped taillights.  And a '63 Bug European version with the Blaupunkt short wave radio.  Loved the look but the '54 was not very practical.  First gear was crashbox non-syncro'd.

Oh, those were the dayz.  I prefer the StarQuests and DSM's for the true sports car experience.  Plus I'm Stuck in the 80's!

Cheers,

SLim
