Sounds like I'm going to have my work cut out for me in SM when I start autoxing again. IF your feeling saucy I have steeringboxes from TWIs to throw in your car as well. Complete the transformation 100% then
I am intrigued by the steering box change.....what exactly is the difference?
And BTW I got 102 Auto-x runs in last year

Here's a few shots and some on track vids.

Just finished up a complete engine rebuild. New bearings and rings reusing stock components. Updated to an m28 head with a metal headgasket. Balance shaft delete. Complete intake manifold rebuild.

Now running an evo3 16g with a talon exhaust housing that has been modified to use a turbonetics deltagate. Header wrapped the stock manifold and added a PTP turbo blanket.

Running 750 and 1100cc injectors tuned with a SAFC-2 and a SSI-4.

Sorry about the blurry cellphone pics. Haven't taken any good pictures yet. Currently only has a 6 psi spring in the waste gate so I haven't even got a good pull on the engine yet.

Also the block is Mopar MAX Wedge orange. Summit had it on closeout and I wanted something other than black so that's what I got.
I had been fighting an occasional huge puff of smoke out of the engine bay under boost. Turns out it was a lose clamp at the water pump outlet that only leaked when the revs were high and revs only were high when I was boosting. it would spray out and the rad fans would blow it back against the exhaust manifold causing a huge puff of smoke when it hit the exhaust. I have it all fixed now.

After fighting a huge amount of gremlins I have the car running good. I have around 3000miles on the motor and it is running real good. I have a nice tune at 15psi that I have about 20 auto-x runs on. The car performs well on the auto-x course. It is a hair more laggy but much more torque and throttle response at partial boost/power. The car seems to be more controllable now when the tail is out compared to the 14b.
I ran a 15.095 @ 95.0down the dragstrip at Norwalk with a 2.5 60' for time. I only had three tries and never got the launch quite right. This was with the boost at about 17psi.
I am dropping about 3psi between 3k and 6k but I know that I have a leaky 1g bov. I have just purchased a hks SSQV w/ the recirq fitting hopefully fixing this drop in boost.
With a car weight of 2800lbs the innovate is showing 177HP and 195 ft/lbs calculated HP/TQs this is at 14.5 psi dropping to 12psi. Timming is at 10*
I hope to get a bit more time in the street tune then get it on a dyno before the snow flies.

A shot under the hood after the engine install

There's a shift light on the column. The stock tack wont keep up with the engine any more.

Bought a set of SHP'9s with BFG 250/40/16 Drag Radials on them. They cleaned up decent and fit well under the Flatty after some quality fender rolling time.

Your more than welcome to take her for a drive some time next spring.
The bad news is I will probobly only get one more inspection out of her. The front fenders are completely rotted out, as well as the portions of the body to reattach them to. Worse is after every auto cross I find bits of rust allover the dash. There is starting to be significant rot around the windshield. More than likley will be on the search for a good solid body in the next year or so, then I can swap everything over.

I still own the car. I have had 2 kids in the last 4 years, so she hasn't seen much road time or any auto-x. Last year I didn't even get her out of storage.
Goals for this year:
Drive once a week to work,~70 mile round trip.
*This does assume we aren't all still working from home.
Car has an electrical gremlin in the form a a low voltage loop. The ECU losses o2 reading if the headlights are on?
* planning on a microsquirt install while remaining TBI
* Rewire low voltage gauge cluster
* finish install of MSD 2step
I have a set of rear SHP shocks modified for front inserts that needed welded and installed
