In Topic: Rear swaybar install question (Addco or ST)

I actually used to work for an international polyurethane suspension bushing manufacturer and I can tell you some of the design decisions made are fairly questionable. There were guys who had been there for a long time that would add insane amounts of "crush" because it "adds stiffness" so for some performance applications the bushings became basically uninstallable. I don't know who mookeeh uses for their bushings but it's possible this same mentality was behind them. Also removing material from polyurethane isn't too difficult.

ST sway bars
Front 26mm
Rear 21mm

Interesting, so the rear bar is smaller but the front bar is bigger than the addco bars. 25.4mm & 22.2mm for the addco front and rear.

I have a pair of bushings that Mookeeh sent me with their front bar, but they seem like they're too small for the front bar. The bar is 25mm and the bushings only measure a little over 22mm. I don't know if they will fit in the rear brackets, but if you want to give them a try, I'll drop them in an envelope for you for $10. Let me know.

Hmm, good to know. I actually reached out to Addco and they're going to send some bushings my way so I'll let you know if I end up needing these. I'd be surprised if they're 22mm though as the Mookeeh rear bar is 21mm. The front stocker for the front might be closer to 22mm though.

Yes Mikie took all of GNT inventory. That's who I got mine from.

I believe Mikie is who runs MKS, but who is/was GNT?

Get with Mikie at MKS Motorsport he'll hook you up.

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. I emailed Addco and it sounds like they're going to send me the bushings that came with the original kit so I should be good.

so I emailed ST and asked for the instructions for their bar. They sent it over and it clearly says to re-use the OEM bushings. The addco bar is 22.2mm and I can't find out how large the ST bar is, but the stock bushings certainly won't fit over my bar. Perhaps the ST bar is smaller.

damn, so I need those bushings that you have shown. Mine are like, 4x larger than the OEM ones and clearly just generic bushings
