My clips are broken. How did you guys fix this?

I have made a nice custom shift boot, will post pics as soon as I can, my digital camera is broke.   I made mine out of imitation leather, looks very nice, and fits very nice. I didn't want to drop the money on real leather and mess up. I now know that I could make it out of real leather if anyone is interested.   no boots are really for sale right now, otherwise I would post in for sale forum, just seeing if anyone is interested. also I dont expect anyone to want one without seeing pics. Well, I finished my head modifications(new Marnal head)  I hope it pays off!   I used JB to build up the port floor on the intake sides(maybe 3/16") to give me a better valve entry and short-side radius.  Then I hogged off the valve guide and fat aluminum support boss and blended the bowl.   On the exhaust side I removed the guides, shortened them 1/4" and took down the ali boss before reinstalling them.  (I should have done the same on the intake side instead of grinding the guides all the
