Notes on Magna intake for Montero/PU

Anyone like Lizzord who are thinking of doing an MPI swap for a Monty or pickup, I have some tips and updates.
The Magna will of course have to be modified, but I would recommend against buying the Modded one frome Glen in Oz. His work seems nice and no disrespect to Glen, but it still wont fit. Based on the pics from his website, he caps the old t-stat housing using the original holes. I know this saves a ton in labor so it costs us less, but, it is still way too long, and hits the fire wal

Hey guys,
I just thought I would post this for anyone that is thinking about doing the same. I have wanted a sub for a long time but a few things were worrying me. I was concerned about how much power it would draw off the battery, and I was concerned about the sound I would get. Well I finally crakced and just bought one. I actually got the sub from a friend it is an MTX 10" Terminator sub, it's pretty old but it still works fine. I then bought a Kenwood 250 watt amp and a box for the sub

Here's a spreadsheet I put together while I was trying to choose a new turbo. Â To use it, download the file and open it with excel. Â Enter values for your engine on the "Flow Calcs" page, changing only the fields highlighted in bright green. Â Excel will calculate approximate airflow at various RPMs and boost pressures then plot airflow vs boost at given RPM levels. Hey guess what! Valve spring shims for a mopar 440 fit our heads. The ones I have are 15 thousandths and Im sure you can get other sizes and I bet other shims might work also, just take the little bottom retainer with you to your local speed shop and match em up. 15 thousanths should be good but you can go a little thicker if you want dont go too big cause you dont want them springs to bind. You will need at least 30 thousandths If you are using an old caravan head with caravan valves, caravan r
