I'm looking for this post can't seem to locate it. Someone here has done the mod and changed the wire if i'm not mistaken it's a 8ga wire the white one running off the alternator. They bought all the parts from home depot or loew's for around $20. I'm looking to clean up a few things on this car. still have some minor issues to sort out before i put it on the road. But it's plated and insured and ready when finish these things.

Since mine is an 87 it can't be an SHP. But what did that package actually include in 1988. Just 8 x 9 tires in lieu of the the 7 x 8s, and 8 way adjustable shocks? If that is all there, would that "upgrade" really make a big noticable difference in how it handles?   I guess someone would have to own both stock to stock to really answer that objectively.

Where can I get the two hoses that connect to the heater core and what would be the part #'s?
