What type of oil are you supposed to use in the rear differential of an 87 tsi?

any help would be appreciated with a no spark issue. I was told to check spark sys but to be honest I really don't know all what is involved or tied in with the spark system

ok so i installed the mookeh hardpipe and there is no port for this to go to. its a metal part with a hose that went into the intake tube. there was no spot on the mookeh hardpipe for it can i cap it off ? what does it do? (its the part just to the left of the mass air sensor plug)
