Oil pickup tube Disastical

Disastical- A Disaster and a Debacle Well not a disaster, but here is my situation: I have an 87 Conquest TSI which for reasons too painful to type out, needs a different engine in the meantime. Then, i found one, a Starion (not sure of year) engine that was fully built to create a turbo Montero - or turbotero? Bought a set of oversized pistons and rods from Ryan. Paid for on the 7th and was on my front door step on the 11th. Items were exactly as described. Thanks Ryan! Nick
Stock igniter toast

After getting my car back from the mechanic it broke down on the way home and wouldnt start. It is now back at his shop and he says I need a new igniter, he isnt sure that he can use a MSD unit because he said there wouldnt be any way to control timing advance/retard and the car would run but poorly. Should I source a used stock one off the forums? I looked at msd ignition topics around the forums but they are all about the msd 6al and that uses the stock ignitor. Im running a msd blaster coil
