On the 87 I had in high school, the security light stayed on all the time when the security was armed, but the 88 I just got does not. I would like to have it on all the time when the car is locked as a theft deterrent. Any ideas on how this can be done?

Is there a procedure for testing an ETACS unit? I have some electrical issues with my '87 TSi and I have followed all of the procedures to test and clean the fuse-able links, checked all of the fuses themselves and tested my recently rebuilt alternator. My wipers will not work on intermittent speed, the windows do not seem to work, at first they would work when the wanted but now they will not at all. Also the rear defrost is not working. Ok so I have a freshly rebuilt motor and I don't want to use my original oil cooler because im worried there could be metal shavings left over from the bearings being spun.   So my question is what size are the banjo fitting bolts that we use? I found a 3000gt oil cooler kit from cx racing that has a banjo fitting adapter to -8AN. I just want to make sure that it will fit before i buy it.   thanks   Jake
