Replaced The Old Broads Turbo With A Rebuilt 12A. Forgot To Do Something

Well I finally replaced the Old Broads 12A Turbo that had an intermittently weeping oil seal with a rebuilt one that I had rat holed for the past 2 years. The oil seal has been intermittently weeping oil into the compressor side for the past 2 1/2 years whenever I was in prolonged stop and go traffic. When she was crusing down the interstates @ 69 to 78 MPH for hundreds of miles she didn't loose/burn a drop. Recently we drove her to Salt Lake City and back to Atlanta. While in SLC she really s

Exhaust Manifold Troubles

So I started hearing a funny noise coming from the passenger's side of the engine compartment and went under the hood to check it out. Turns out one of the exhaust manifold studs was not a stud... it was a bolt. The bolt had stripped the threads in the head and left a gap between the head and the manifold which is what I'm guessing was causing the noise. The bolt was pretty much undamaged but I ran it through a re-threader anyways and tried to tap the hole where there is supposed to be a stud. T
starter and lightweight flywheel

I have a competition clutch flywheel and clutch combo. My starters keep going and they always have some kind of grind too. do you use shims for the cars with light weight flywheels installed?
