Needing Junk Oil Cooler Lines

Could a bad flow control valve cause the steering gear box to blow seals?

On a previous car I fought like hell to get a power steering gearbox to stop leaking at the bottom. Even OEM seals didn't do it. Now I have the motor and the same PS pump in a different car. I don't want the same problem. If the flow control valve is sticking, could this cause seals to blow in the gear box? Thanks in advance.
What all can go?? Want to clean up & clear out engine bay..

I've read about a/c, currently 50% done. Considering ABS. I've noticed the secondary air and was told that can go. What I'm wondering is what exactly the black can by ps reservoir is and if can be taken out. Also there's the same sort of black can mounted to air filter canister, which has a hose connected to bottom, one to filter canister and also valve cover, can I remove that and what exactly is it? With all the hoses and random canisters on this car some have to be able to be removed. If not,
