    87 and 88/89 HVAC Controls

    I know the buttons look different as well as the 87 having a separate ground wire. However, can an 87 HVAC control work in an 88/89 and vice versa? I tried searching and had no luck. Thanks.

    So this is the door panel of my wife's Ford Escape. The fake leather or vinyl panel (whichever it is) keeps peeling away from the door card. It only does it on the passenger side, both front and back doors. Vehicle is garage kept, so it's not a sun issue I don't think. Anyway, I've tried to re-adhere it and it keeps falling off. I've tried a 3M product (forget which one) and a loctite fabric glue, but that hasn't really worked either. I'm thinking maybe like a brush-on contact cement that
