Output shaft seal saga

Hello StarQuesters: So my Quest ('86 Starion manual tranny) has a drip from the back of the trans. I noticed that there was a "halo" of oil just back of the dust shield that covers the U-joint between the drive shaft and the trans. I have receipts from the prior owner, and he at least bought an output shaft seal. Looks like he installed it too. For some reason, I thought I was smarter than him, so I also replaced the output shaft seal... and it still leaks I got the part from a Mitsu de

From the last two events for a while. The season in nor*cal is officially over until march. The past two weeks have been a blast haha. Went to a drift event down south at Willow springs on the 2nd, and then went to another one up here on the 6th. I'm super stoked on how my car performed this year. I've never owned a car long enough to go to this many drift events in a year,(at least 10) and for my car to make it all the way to last one without breaking is great. I can't seem to locate the filter. At least not what NaPa sold me. Is is above the tank? She sputters a little sometimes. Hard to explain… thought it was the turbo boot but I've fixed that… No vacuum leaks. New(er) injectors. Very odd symptoms. New non-jet head about 4500mi. ago. did it before too I think. Does it more when it's cold. Maybe the turbos goin er something. can u smell it…?
